I'm so excited about the doll i made!

I just had to share:)

I made a waldorf style doll that is 20 inches long and fits in newborn style clothing. She turned out better than any i have made so far. She has a curly cap of bright red hair (i actually bought the cap from Little Joys)

Sunday was my DDs birthday (2) and i gave her the doll and (gasp) matching dresses for her and the doll and (double gasp) matching hats too. Maybe i'm becoming one of "those" moms like my SIL who buys alot of mom/daughter/sister matching clothes, but my dresses are very groovy and cool, no lace, frills and pink.

Next i need to learn to *like* sewing doll clothes LOL

that sounds cool! dd#2's 1st birthday is in about a month ( jan 19th ) & I'd love to make her one of those waldorf star dolls. I can't get any organic cotton over here tho' :( Where did you get your pattern ?

I got the 20 inch pattern from Little Joys and you can get the star pattern from Magic Cabin but you really don't need the pattern if you know how to construct the head.

I ordered alot of the cotton velour fabric from Little Joys (she gives a bulk discount and i make alot of dolls) It is not pure cotton, i haven't found that anywhere but it is mostly cotton and it feels great.

I think there is a thread somewhere from LaLa that gives instructions on making the head.

If you need the # for Little joys let me know. I can get it later.
