Hello! I'm new to this community and newly pregnant, at 5 weeks today! This is our second try, and I'm 40 years old. In April had a miscarriage at 7 1/2 weeks. We don't seem to have any problem *getting* pregnant, but let's hope that this time it sticks!!!
My question is, I'm feeling more of the symptoms than I did last time, tired, a little queasy (but not sick - yet). But I feel hot all the time, not really like a fever but just sort of flushed and warm. Is this normal? I went for my first visit to my doc today but forgot to write down all my questions!!
Thanks in advance, looking forward to learning a lot from this group!!!

Hi Speedknitter,
Feeling warm is normal for me. I have found that I am comfortable in less clothes than a month ago and once I have gotten warm, it takes me longer than normal to cool back down. A number of people have commented that I am "glowing" (read flushed!).
I will send my sticky energy along! :sticky
See you around!

I am a LOT hotter than normal- my husband loves it because instead of complaining about how cold it is in the house, I am begging him to turn the air down AGAIN. I am eight weeks- first pregnancy at 35- very hopeful this "sticks" myself. Have you told your family?

Very normal---one way you know you're pg if you chart is that you have a high and elevated temperature; mine is right around 99 deg :)

Thanks for all the replies! Maybe I will start taking my temp every now and then just to see what it is. My doc put me on progesterone suppositories and one baby asprin a day to help with stickiness :fingersx:
We have told our families and I told one girlfriend who asked and I'm a terrible liar! It is good to have the support, I don't think I could stand keeping it a total secret. We did the same thing first time and I'm glad - it was great to have the support when things did not go well.

One interesting thing that I have found is that how hot I feel doesn't always track with my actual internal temperature. That is the way that it was before I was pregnant, and continues to be true.

I feel more flushed than actually hot. I feel like my face is flushed (like if I were embarassed or something). This is new, I didn't have this with the last 2 pg. I love how each is different :)

One of the things that exacerbates my MS is my bodys inability to adjust temperature correctly ...I'm ALWAYS too HOT!!
