OK, anyone who's up for one last gift exchange is welcome to join in!
It will work like this: You post your wish list (or link to internet registries) on this thread by a certain date (any ideas on dates? I guess we need to work quickly if we hope to truly meet baby needs!). Then someone (Crissy??? :D ) will match lists to givers and announce them shortly after the cutoff date. Then givers will have until a certain date to purchase and mail the gift(s) (up to $20 before shipping), so that gifts start arriving around the same time. I guess this part could get wacky with babies arriving throughout the month, but it would still be nice to have a date set.
In order to receive gifts, you'll need to be sure you are signed up on our Yahoo group list so we have your address. (Could someone post how to do that?)
Give me some ideas on dates... Is one week too short a time to get everyone's lists in? (Aug. 30) Then maybe have the match done by Sept. 1 and packages out on Sept. 15?? To reduce purchase time, we could just plan for people to have any internet stuff shipped directly to the recipient...?

Sounds great to me! I found the thread from the 2nd trimester swap and read through that so I have a better idea of what you've already done. Sounds like so much fun! The dates sound good to me. I can't wait to start seeing peoples' lists! :)
Now I'm off to finish wrapping up a gift for a secret mommy pal on another board...

I'm in, I think a week is good, I'd like to get going as quickly as possible just in case!
My needs/wants at this point are:
infant outfits (other than T-shirts and onesies)
fitted or AIO infant cloth dipes (larger too, but infant is more immediate)
burp cloths
nursing bras size 36C (still a B, so projecting C...)
sheets for full size Arm's Reach Co-Sleeper
infant sun hat
wash cloths
The Baby Book by Dr Sears
Second hand always welcome.
I am looking forward to shopping for someone, this is so fun!

I'm in and I'll do the match-ups again. I think a one week sign up time sounds perfect, sign ups will close next Monday, August 30th. I'll ask that anybody who has a special request who they'd like to send to to please pm with me with that request on the 30th or 31st, then I'll post the match-ups on September 1st. How about if we say packages go out by September 11th?
I'll be back later to post my list!

Needs? Hrm.
Breastfeeding things - wool pads, a tube of Lansinoh, a Boppy if you can find one used (I know they're over $25 new), nursing clothing sized L, please only very narrow horizontal stripes or better yet, solid colors. Preferably long-sleeved. I particularly love 3/4 length sleeves and jewel necklines. Also tanks, spaghetti strap camis, etc.
Baby things - honestly I think that we're stocked. Maybe some t-shirts. We have lots of onesies. A swim diaper?
Any cute advocacy wear for baby - got breastmilk? onesie, etc
registries still exist at babystyle (http://www.babystyle.com) and Target (http://www.target.com), although remember that we've got the Target dad at our school. Only one person has touched the babystyle registry so far. My full name can be found on the yahoo page or you can sift through all of the registrants, there is only one jennifer and jo to be found in minneapolis!

Guess I'd better put my list up quick! Hee hee, water broke almost an hour ago and contrax are coming hard and fast...
Look up Savannah Rogers in Georgia on www.findgift.com. Of that list, probably I'd most love the Mommy's Milk bottles, the twins on board sign, the tie dye Happy Heinys, the small Red Raps diaper covers. That's a decent selection; the size medium stuff can wait for Christmas, or for my work friends to get at the "after babies" shower...
Thanks in advance! These are so fun.

Okay, here's my list (I'll probably keep adding to it until the sign-up deadline):
-Weleda Calendula cream - or another baby Calendula cream
-Weleda diaper rash cream (the kind with zinc oxide)
-Burt's Bee's diaper rash cream
-California Baby Wash
not for baby, but for my bottom after baby :LOL

These gift exchanges are so much fun!
Tell you what, I'll make it easy for a procrastinator to pick me.
What I really want for the baby is one of those truly gorgeous utterly expensive All-In-One diapers made by a WAHM. It seems like you have to "catch" them taking custom orders... and I never have.
I'm comfortable waiting till the baby is born, seeing what sex this kid is and getting an awesome custom-made diaper. It can be larger size rather than newborn... time for the WAHM to sew it!
There are gorgeous fabrics out there.. batiks, silk dragons, you know, fancy glamourous fabrics... nothing cutesy with "baby stuff" on it. Fabric you would pick for yourself, or your husband.
I like http://www.mudpiebabies.com/ but I know there are lots of other WAHM's out there, so if you are diaper savvy... please pick me!

Okay, I've been trying to figure out what I "need" that's in this sort of range... Here are a few ideas.
- Baby bath stuff. I registered (http://store.babycenter.com/registry/search/qdX3GG) for some by Mustela, but would be interested in trying other nice brands (I always like to sample different things!). I have really liked the Burt's Bees things I've tried in the past, and would really love one of their new "Baby Bee" starter kits. I think those are fairly cheap. Burt's Bees dusting powder and diaper cream are favorites, too.
- Cloth wipes. I've ordered about 3 dozen, but from what I hear that's the bare minimum I'll need. Since I don't yet know what I'll like best, I'm interested in trying any variety. Wipe solution recipes would also be great.
- Cloth diapers. I think we've got what we need for the newborn stage (though who knows how many s/he'll actually use per day!), but haven't got anything except one Muttaqin to last longer. I really want trim dipes, and would be interested in another Muttaqin or trying a Bumkins AIO. DH has even requested the Bumkins Leopard print! (I also love their jungle prints.)
- Books. This isn't exactly a baby thing, but sort of. I want to have a special stash of books for reading with Gabriel while the baby's nursing (i.e., all day!). I've wanted to get some books like "What Baby Needs" by the Sears about taking care of a baby or being a big brother, and also thought of Sandra Boynton board books, which are very cute and he absolutely adores. I've added a bunch to his Amazon.com wish list (http://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/registry.html/103-0821757-0416606?%5Fencoding=UTF8&id=9VUYWCHD1I8X). The big brother books are hard to come by locally, so would be great to have ordered from Amazon.
- Miscellaneous stuff. I do have a registry at Babies'R'Us (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/registry/1UDPIHN59AU9X/) that has things like some Bumkins bib sets I'd love (I really do want to get these, and they're only available online!), as well as nursing/pumping accessories, etc. The things that are available online are almost all the pricier ones, though.
Well, that's some thoughts. :) Hopefully those registry/wish list links will work. I guess I should add my address to the Yahoo! listing as not everything is a registry. Once I find out how to do that, I will. :)

Well, I posted my preferences earlier, and today my brother in Florida (darn him... :) ) went onto my findgift.com registry and bought up practically everything!!! I cried like a baby for an hour, I was so stunned and happy....
Anyway, there are cloth diaper requests still on there. If anyone has decided they want to swap with me, PLEASE check my registry to see what all he snatched up. And I can email my Word document wish list to Chrissy if needed; just ask her to PM me about it. I'd still REALLY like some of the cloth diaper stuff left on there... Especially some size S or M Red Raps fleece covers.
Oooh, tomorrow's the big day for everyone's lists to be finished..!!! This is exciting.

Thanks, Chrissy! Looks great!
Remind me again if we're limiting how much we're spending? And is that an upper or lower limit? Or purely discretionary?
Thanks. :)

I got my package from Chrissy today!!! (Actually, it came yesterday but we forgot to check the mail!) Chrissy knit of the cutest pair of soaker shorts you have ever seen - wait until I get a picture up tomorrow and you all get to ooh and ahh over it. She should really be selling them! I also received a bottle of California Baby diaper change spray, a burt's bees baby soap (which I used in the shower for my self today - very gentle for postpartum) and a little pat of wool soap. Plus a sweet card. Thanks so much Chrissy!

We returned home from the hospital yesterday to find a package from Savannah at the back door. In it was a Boppy (yay!), a cool tank top, a nursing nightie and an awesome hand-crocheted mini-rag-rug which we will probably use as a placemat for the cat's water dish upstairs.
Thank you very much!!!!!
