I am super-duper excited to find out the gender of my little bean! The appointment is set for my 20 week ultrasound on September 24th at 9:15. I just thought it might be fun to talk about what sex we might think it is, and then announcing what the genders are when the time comes.
I can't decide what I want. My family thinks it's a boy because of some of the differences with this pregnancy, but I have a feeling it's a girl. My chinese gender prediction chart says girl, and it was correct the last time, so who knows!
All I care about is healthy baby, and short, normal labor and birth!

I will find out (hopefully) a week from today! September 2nd!
I have days where I think boy, and days where I think girl. Dd was convinced during the first trimester that the baby was a boy, and now during the second she is convinced baby is a girl.
I really have no idea. I would prefer a girl because of the circ issue which I don't want to have to fight with dh about, but would be truly happy with either sex.
We will find out soon enough I suppose :)

Well, I already know (from the amnio) but before-hand I had feelings both ways. I thought it might be another girl. I wanted a girl a little more though, so I don't know if that was influencing my thinking. We always talked about the baby as "she" because we already have a girl. DH said during the ultrasound he thought girl. But at my nuchal ultrasound (12 weeks) they showed me something poking out between the legs. So then I thought, maybe boy...I was getting used to the idea a little, and for a few weeks we said he or she when we talked about the baby. Then with the bad test results, we stopped caring which one and just hoped it was going to be okay. Fortunately, that was the case!

I too will be finding out. I'd have thought ages ago that I'd want to wait, but I tell you after 3 miscarriages, I'm really having some trouble "bonding" and believing it's all real. I also know that DH is having HUGE issues, not allowing himself to believe we will have this baby, not allowing himself to grow attached, partly to protect himself and partly because he knows that if we were to loose another, there'd be nothing left of me emotionally so he's attempting to prepare himself instead of getting the least bit excited. I think once he can feel the baby move, it will become more real for him, but I really believe naming this baby and knowing what it is and preparing to welcome him/her will help to let Steve get attached. (and me too)
As for what I think it is? I've been saying he--I did joke that any being who would put a woman through such a completely hellish pregnancy has got to have testicles--at our 14 week U/S he just looked like he was having way too much fun kicking my bladder--I wanted it to be over so I could go pee, but dh was just in awe watching, so I just layed there hoping not to explode! That said, the heartrate is always high (always between 160 and 170) which I've been told could mean girl. Some have said that bad morning sickness means girl, some have said it means boy--either way, it's certainly been bad. I'd love to see Steve with a little girl, I figure she'd have him wrapped in about a half second. At first he wanted a boy so he could play hockey and stuff--then I reminded him that I was a much better hockey player than he is and in this area, girls and women's hockey is very popular.
Obviously we'll be thrilled with either, but I think it will help Steve to put some of his fears on the back burner if we can give the little one a name early.
Wow, that was long!

I've thought from the beginning that this one was a boy. I've referred to it as "he", been thinking of boy names, even looking a boy clothes. However, I think it's because I already have a son, so I'm just naturally in a "boy" mindset; everything's "boy" to me! :LOL
I imagine we'll be making the u/s appt at my next OB appt, which is Sept 23rd. At that appt, I'll be 18 weeks, so I'm assuming that the u/s will be within a couple of weeks of my next OB appt.
Boy, I'm gonna be thrown for a loop if it's a girl! Holy cow, I don't know anything about little girls!

I have a dr appt tomorrow, and she has a little us machine, but I don't know if she will want to tell me the gender or not... Otherwise, my big ultrasound is at the 20 week mark... I know they will tell then.
The Chinese Gender thingy said girl, and it was right the last two times (both boys) but I catch myself thinking of this baby as a little guy, mainly I think because all of my babies have been boys... DH is sure it is a girl. I am not buying anything for this baby, until we know for sure, just in case I jinx it, which, with my last pg, I bought lots of pink things only to have another boy...

I'm so excited about finding out! I have no clue this time. With my first PG I just knew I was having a girl. I had 4 girl dreams before the u/s confirmed it. This time... nothing! My 20 week U/s is schedule for 11 Oct. Can't wait!!!!!!!

We find out (I hope) on Wednesday. DD has been convinced since she found out that this is a girl. She's only 2.5 and has never waivered from that...mama is having a sister baby! So for that reason I think it very well could be a girl. On the other hand, this pg has been very different from hers, I think this child was conceived post ovulation, and just about everyone else thinks boyl...so then I think maybe it's a boy. Honestly, I don't care if it's a boy or a girl. I can think of wonderful things about either :love

We find out on Sept 15. I really can't wait, I want to name this little one. My feeling is it's a boy, but a good friend of mine still thinks it's a girl. I definitely have more experience with boys, I helped raise my 2 godsons but a girl would be cool too.

My US appt. is 2 weeks away, and I can't wait to find out. I have no idea if thisi s a boy or a girl, and I am having some trouble bonding like I did w/ DD b/c I've been so preoccupied w/ life this time around :LOL I think after I find out, and we start thinking of names it will seem more real to me. I can't rmember the exact date for my US, but I want to say Sept 20th??? It's a monday, in 2 weeks. I will be 20 weeks at that appt. and DH is coming with me. We don't have a sitter for DD yet, but I'm not sure if we will take her or not (she is 17 months now)
Good Luck to all those finding out this week!!! I look forward to reading the It's a ... announcements!!!

How did your US go?
It went really well. Babe was looking at my spine the whole time though, so we got one of those through the skull alien baby pictures to take home.
I'll spill the beans after a few people answer this. Based on gut reaction, what would you guess our babe's sex was if we named it Sage?

Hmmm, cool question!
I'm gonna say a boy..... but I'm a tiny bit torn. To me sage smells very masculine and that is why I'm saying that.
I can't wait to find out!!!!

Hmmmm. Two for each sex. Well, if i had a working scanner I could post the ultrasound picture showing that this is clearly a BOY! I haven't sold Dh on Sage yet, and he's now anti-Caspian as well. Good thing we still have 20 weeks!

Thanks for asking:) The ultrasound went perfectly and my 2 year old was right...mama is indeed having a sister baby :love We're thrilled to be having another girl (although we would have been thrilled to have a boy too lol) but especially thrilled to have a healthy little girl who is measuring right on target and was wiggling like crazy in there! After having a m/c in March I've been so nervous through this pregnancy. It's so nice to know she's doing well in there:)
Oh and I think boy when I hear Sage. Not sure why.

My 3 year old nephew's name is Sage Michael. They were going to name him Michael Sage, but decided at the hospital to change it. You should have seen the look on my in-law's faces. The name has grown on them, though, and I've always liked it.
Congrats to those who found out the sexes! I only have two weeks from today, and I can hardly wait! My dh and I are both guessing girl, so I'm wondering if subconsciously we are wanting a girl more.....all I know is that I keep slipping and calling it "she" and "her" but probably just a habit from last time.

Oooh me me me! I have an ultrasound on October 5th and it can't come soon enough for me! I really hope the baby cooperates because I can't wait to find out :) My first child was stubborn...3 ultrasounds and 3 weeks overdue and she kept me in suspense until she was born. That was kind of fun though not knowing. My son played shy-guy at the first U/S and the 2nd one he was spread eagle and when she said it's a boy we both started crying. So I've found out at birth and before hand and both times were so special.
I'm thinking blue for this baby. I feel the same as I did with my son and I have everything I need for a boy. I also have the perfect name picked out for a boy and can't come up with anything for a girl LOL I also think it would be cool for Hunter to have a brother so close to his age so they can grow up as good buddies. Send blue vibes my way.

Only 11 more days until my us, and the suspence is killing me! I can't wait to start daydreaming about a girl or boy. I also can't wait to get all of my clothes sorted. I have tons of boy hand-me downs that I accepted before I knew the sex of my last child, so I can either get rid of those or put them in the closet. I am going to totally put them on ebay if I don't need them and try to make some money to buy new clothes for the new baby. I just can't wait to buy that first little outfit! I have been leaning towards girl so my dd can have a sister, but I took care of a six month old, chubby, smiley, little, baby boy yesterday in the church nursery, and so now I'm back to not caring what I have :) !
Oh, welcome, threeforme2005!...and thanks for the hug about my belly fat comment from the "I'll show you mine" thread. :hug2

This is so fun finding out what we're all having!!! I get my ultrasound next Tuesday!!!! I am thinking boy but dh is just knows it is a girl so we'll see. DH will ACTUALLY be there too. His missed almost the whole pregnacy except the first 16 weeks with DS so now he gets to be a part of this one. At first he was going to be TAD for the ultrasound but today it got cancelled...I know with the Marines never get your heart set on plans but I am starting to get excited!!!

My ultrasound was wonderful! I can't believe the experience compared to the last time. The ultrasound tech spent a half hour scanning me, showing me the different parts of the baby and measuring. We found out it's a BOY! We are so happy and excited! Now it's time to ebay those girl clothes we won't be needing, so that we can buy the new baby some things.
Here is the link to the baby's website if you want to see the new ultrasound photos!

I had my ultrasound on Thursday and we are expecting a BOY!!
I have an almost 4 year old son and a daughter who will be 2 next month so it didn't really matter which sex it was--but I wanted to get organized and go through clothes etc. and figure out what I want to keep and what I want to get rid of!!
I LOVE the name Sage for a boy or a girl--good luck trying to convince your dh!!
I think our new baby will be Mathieu (We already have Malcolm and Josée) but I have to think of a middle name.
