I am a little over 12 weeks, I am not sure
After the midwife appointment where my uterus meaured just right and having had VERY bad morning sickness and other strong symptoms, we were finally letting ourselves believe that we would have baby #4 next March.
I have a U/S scheduled for when we return to the United States next week because my midwife wanted to be sure about the dates and wanted us to see a heartbeat (instead of stressing out in case she could not find one at office). Why? Because we had 2 pregnancy losses (empty sac at 13 weeks + twins due to TTTS at 17 weeks) and this makes us naturally very scared and cautios - even though our latest pregnancy resulted in our cute Sebastian.
So we are here in Denmark, finally letting ourselves get excited and annoucing the news to everyone... when last night I found some pink streaks in a mucousy substance when I wiped myself. Did not think so much of it, until this morning I found a bit of red mucousy blood when I wipped and then a tad bit more in my hand in the shower :crying I had one more spotting episode 2 hours later and then nothing more the rest of the day. I rested the WHOLE day and tonight I found a tiny bit of brown mucous when I wipped (probably the leftover of this morningīs spotting)
I am terrified of going to the bathroom specially because I have this constant undefined pain on my lower back and intestines :crying
I never miscarried fully by myself, so I donīt know what it is like.
I have not had any sexual intercourse or anything for at least one week, so it is not that which is causing the spotting...
I talked to DD today when she asked why I was sick, and said that there is a chance we might not have a baby in the tummy. We never really promised them anything, and said we needed to take "pictures" of my tummy to see if there was a baby. The loss of the twins was hard on her, so I did not want to get her hopes high from the beginning. Then she said that she knew I had a baby because I vomitted everyday and because my tummy looks big - then she asked crying if the baby was dead or was going to fall out :crying All I could say is that all we could do was to wait...
I promised I would not get my hopes up until after the US, but I am so so sad and heartbroken at prospect of one more loss...
Maybe there is another empty sac, or a baby without a heartbeat, or worse... a healthy baby that might not make it. I am not going to know until next week... if the bleeding does not continue of course.
Please... think of us tonight
I am crying now and canīt type anymore... better go to sleep (it is past midnight here) .
:( :( :(
Thanks for listening

Oh you poor mama. I miscarried my first baby and spent my entire second pregnancy scared to go to the bathroom becasue I thought I'd see blood on the TP every single time. I truely hope everything is OK for you. I know the back pain feeling too - every time I get a twinge in my back I think it's the beginning of the end.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. Hang in there. :hug :hug

I'm so sorry. I, too, have had spotting on and off during this pregnancy. I hope that we both have wonderful birth stories and beautiful baby pictures to share in March.

You might also want to get checked for a Urinary tract infection just in case. They can cause pre-term labor and can cause low backache even when not pregnant.Hugs and prayers,Catherine

Hugs to you, mama. I just miscarried last night at 12weeks 3days. I had started bleeding on Sat (12 weeks) very light and brownish and the it slowly picked up and the cramps started and then my Monday night the cramps were full blown labor pains that I couldnt sleep through. Went to the bathroom and had another contraction on the toilet and gushed some blood out. There was no denying what was happening at that point. I though i would be so strong since I knew it was for the best if we did miscarry but I just broke down. It is my first miscarriage and I thought Id be okay but Im so heartbroken. Even tho it wasnt planned we REALLY wanted that baby. I will be okay. And we will try again in a few years. But for now I am just so so sad. I pray that your baby sticks and all is well with you. :hug2

Oh, I am so sorry for you I am crying right now for you :hugs I will pray tonight that you and your family can go through this sad moment as smoothly as possible.
Thank you for posting and for your best wishes too :hugs
I have no news myself, but we are still praying this one will stay.
Miscarriages are one of the saddest and lonniest things that can happen to a couple... Please talk to other moms who have gone through it if you feel the need - it really helps... I would have never been able to go through my first miscarriage and the loss of my twin boys without it...

Glad you are doing better!

At 12 weeks, I had some spotting at first then I started bleeding bright red blood for about an hour. I had a u/s and everything was totally fine. They think I broke a blood vessel or something either though intercourse, vomiting or something else.

i just wanted to post this for anyone who experiences bleeding in the first/second trimester: i had two bleeds of bright blood. turned out they were subchorionic hemmorhages which left little clots. some women miscarry but many do not. these happenned at 14 and 16 wks. i am now almost at 20 wks with no new blood. the clot is still there but shrinking slowly and the baby is developing normally. we are very hopeful.

courage and strength to all of you.
