i did not expect to get "round" so early. i am only 6weeks. my tummy has just rolled right out of my body. bloated, constipated, swollen...too much food??? i dunno. im pg with #3...so im less....tight ...in the tummy then before.

IS anyone else sucking in to do the jeans up????

jeans are getting smaller and I'm in the 5th week. Other items like shorts and other pants are still fine though.

It's going to be hard keeping this from people for very long. I remember with my 1st, I could hide it until about 14-15 weeks (maybe more?) Sigh.

From what i was told during my first pregnancy.... Jeans and other clothing being tight now isn't baby. It could be constipation or water retention. I know for me that is what it is. Some days my pants are tighter than others and for me it is water retention. I can tell by how swollen my hands are also.

That being said....with my son it was kinda hard to tell when it went from water or constipation to actually baby showing. I got so big so fast with him. I think i honestly started showing with him when i was about 8 weeks along. I know it was then and after that i never got any smaller day to day like i do now. He was a BIG baby though and measured ahead all the way up till right before he was born and he slowed down a lot. Weighed 8lbs 6oz at birth.

I am right in there with you though...my jeans are uncomfortably tight already. When i am home i just run around in a t-shirt all the time and no pants on. Just more comfortable that way.

I also feel more swollen than anything, but then again it could be the back-to-normal eating, as I had been dieting for the past few months..... It's kinda sad in a way that now that I was back in my size 8 jeans they will be back into storage soon!!

Yep, pants are getting a little snug here at 6 weeks. I think my tummy is a little more rounded than usual. Not obvious to anyone else, though.

I'm still fitting in my pants with relative ease. It's my tops and bras that are beyond snug. Seems the booby fairy left me more than my fair share with the announcement of this pregnancy. Actually had to buy a bigger bra today to accomodate this expanding chest of mine.

DH and gabriel are both very :Sheepish: about the return of my more buxom figure.

I noticed that my jeans were getting a bit more snug than usual last week (before I tested) & wondered what was going on. :LOL Here we go again! I feel like I just got out of maternity clothes (ds2 is 11 months old). *sigh* As far as bra size, with each of my first 2 I kept a full cup size after they weaned!

I haven't gained any weight... but feel pudgy around the middle already. Yikes.

I avoid all that by wearing loose pants that sit at my hips, lol. My dd told me that I look pregnant already today.

Des, I looked at your website and I can't believe how big you were the day before Gabriel was born! You were SO cute! Can I also say that Gabriel is honestly one of the prettiest newborns that I've ever seen (excluding my own of course :innocent )

whew, glad i am not the only one! i am 7 weeks plus and my jeans were tight this morning for the first time! usually i wear pretty loose pants so i hadn't noticed but all my clothes were dirty so i dug out some jeans and yikes. soon as i get home, i put on my pj pants!!

i dunno what i am gonna do b/c i have very few pants that fit and i dont really want to break out the maternity pants at say 12 weeks but i am not sure i will have a choice! i do have some jeans from last time that have a big stretchy waist and sit low. those will help. hope they arent too big. i am 15 pounds lighter than when i got pg last time. nursing i think....not through any effort really on my part!!

i think my maternity wardrobe is way nicer than my regular clothes so i am kinda anxious to get into them. i was working last time i was pg and waited until 36 to get pg for various reasons (ugh!) so i was totally gung-ho to buy stuff. not realising that you need the stuff for maybe 6 months not 10!!

It is pretty amazing how big I got, huh?? Hoping that *IF* I do get that big again, I am not in as much discomfort! My mw said when she arrived at my birth that we either had one BIG baby or 2 good sized twins... She had only been my mw for 20 days when I went into labor.

And Gabriel says :Thanks for the nice compliment as well.

soon as i get home, i put on my pj pants!!

me too. i LIVE in my big frumpy jammie pants. WAY more comfy.

i also bought yoga pants for wearing when i am out grocery shopping or whatever. they are also way more comfy than the jeans. Thyme maternaty has a before-during-after collection that has pants that you can wear the whole way. totally dont look like mat pants. i think i will get those. they are lower in the tummy and the waist has several buttons for when you expand and shrink again. they are on sale for 40. kinda expensive, but i will only need a couple of pants besides my growing collection of yoga pants and jammies :)

yeah...im gaining too fast. i am 5'9'' and started at 144. now i am 149. OOPS!! darn icecream. (trying to wean myself but not doing too good at it)

Most of my pants are at least a size too big, but my work pants (my only normal sized pair) are getting tight already (5 wks). I think its all the food I've been shoveling already!

Desdamona, you *were* huge before you had Gabriel! And you still looked great!!

Jenn - I am glad to hear there's another recovering (sorta) ice cream addict in the circle, here! As we speak, I just polished off 1/2 pint of Ben and jerry's that i just started LAST NIGHT! mine is Def. the ice cream!

I don't want to hear of anyone finishing off their ice cream that they started the night before, you're making me feel guilty for finishing it within the hour, lol.

In my case I don't think it's so much that my stomach is getting bigger, just that I don't bother to suck it in any more :nut

not yet, here. i'm not looking forward to it. i can't wait to get into maternity because i love not having to suck in (lol!), but i hate the "you look ready to pop" comments at 6 months along, rofl!
