Can I use zinc/Cold Eeze while pregnant?

I am first trimester and sporting an annoying head cold, just moved to a new place this summer so i don't have a regular medical person to ask...does anyone know if those Cold Eeze zinc lozenges are safe to use while pregnant? Please tell me yes and that your doc/mw said so!

I took them while bf, but not while I was pregnant. I was warned, however, about taking too much zinc. (I tried not to use more than 2 lozenges a day) I would assume that the same would go while pregnant.

Thanks for the info y'all.

I talked to my pharmacist and she also said not to get too much zinc while preg. and that the nose gel Zicam would be a better way to go since it is only absorbed in the nose and not in the entire body.

I am feeling a little better. Hope this may help someone else too.
