I'm in a rush so I'll have to make this fast, but I have a quick question...
I'll be 38 weeks tomorrow. I had my first internal exam earlier this week by my midwife. She found me to be a fingertip dialated, the baby still fairly high up (about -1), and not really effaced yet at all. Her exam also stirred up a decent amount of bloody show.
This morning I wiped after going to the bathroom and was surprised to see what I can only assume is part of my mucous plug- it was a really big, thick, gooey, snotty-looking blob.
This doesn't necessarily mean that I'm going to have this baby anytime soon, does it? I know that it means that I MAY go into labor soon, but is it just as likely that the big day could still be several weeks away?
Thanks,
Jenny.
