Now that we have our own spot maybe we could get to know each other a little better. I'm starting to recognize some of you out there!

I'm Michelle. I'm 29 and I've been married for 6 years to DH, Jeff. We live in South Dakota in our first house that we were fortunate enough to design from the start. We have 2 girls. Maddie is 3 1/2. Ellysia is 1 1/2. DH is primarily a SAHD, though the girls do spend time at preschool/daycare.
We're due with #3 on June 6th. That seems so far off.
I like to scrapbook. I have way too many albums, but my kids are so cute I can't help to take their pictures.
I just bought my first sling and can't wait to use it. We do use sposie's because of daycare. We don't co-sleep and do immunize. So far I haven't had to decide about circ's. We try to be good parents, though.
Hmm...what else?

Michelle

Hi! I'm Kathy, and I have been married to Mike for 4 years now. I have Kayla, who is 10 and from a previous relationship and Madelyn who is 18 months, born March 03. We live in AL, but I grew up in Pittsburgh, PA and lived there until I got engaged to Mike and then we moved to Allentown PA and just 6 months ago we moved to Birmingham, AL. DH is from Pittsfield, MA and lived various places before landing in Pgh where I met him.

We are into cosleeping, natural foods, cloth diapers, and getting crunchier as time goes on.

Hi I am Morgan. I have been married to my DH for almost 3 years (our anniversary is Nov. 4th). We have one son - Maximus who is 22 months (born 1 year and 3 weeks after our wedding - yikes!).

I am from N. Cal and DH is from N.J. but we have been living in AZ for the past 4 1/2 years. We just bought our first house 2 years ago and have outgrown it already.

I work in the legal dept. for a world wide corp. and DH is a professional baseball player. He spent last season with the Dodgers and got traded to the Royals in Aug. At the end of the season he tore his Achilles tendon and had surgery and is now spending the off season in rehab.

Maxi goes to pre-school and just might be the smartes toddler on earth ;)

We co-sleep, selectively vax, extended bf and babywear. I am crazy over cloth diapering so spend most of my time here on the diapering boards and trading post.

I think that is it for us. My EDD is the 8th of June but as I learned with Maxi who was LATE - this baby will come when its ready lol!

Hi! My name is Raina and though we are not married, we have been together for almost 7 years. We have a 4 year old (turning 5 in a couple of weeks). DP is a 3D computer animator - he works at a small video game company and he loves it! I work full time for an internet retailer, I will stop working either at the point that I can't work anymore or when we can afford for me to quit, whichever comes first! We didn't vax, we co-sleep and dd is still in bed with us - I think that we are going to be looking for a bigger bed really soon! I didn't use cloth diapers with dd but I would like to use them this time around. We live in Santa Monica, as for owning a house, living in this area, that is like a dream that will take many, many years to come to fruition. I am looking forward to giving birth on our tiny 2 bedroom apartment!

I'm Amy, a grad of the TTC board. Dh and I have been married for 10 years. We are working on our first. EDD is June 3rd.

I'm new to the AP world. I like it here at MDC.

Last night one of DH's co-workers came over with his GF. She brought me a pregnancy journal. I asked her to pick up a traditional Indian baby sling for me when she goes home to visit India over the holiday break (she's a grad student). I think she is more excited than me. It still doesn't seem real to me.

First US is Tuesday.

I work full time and farm/garden for fun.

Hi Amy- is there a difference in the traditional Indian slings? What type to they use? I'm so curious about this. A few years ago, I worked for a software consulting firm and I was the only non-Indian employee there and I became friends with quite a few of my coworkers, especially the ones who had kids. I never saw any of them wearing a sling, so I'm really curious about this- maybe you can tell me a little more?

Anyway- Congratulations to you! Can't wait to hear about your ultrasound!

Hi everyone:) My name is Dana and I am married to DH Scott for almost 6 years. We have a 2 year old ds Jackson. DH and I are both engineers and met when we were going to school. I work part time since ds was born, 25 hours a week. Scott stays home w/ Jackson 1 day a week while I work my long day at work. I also get to telecommute - which works out really good :thumb

We co-sleep, extended bf (til Jack was 2), cloth diaper.

My EDD is June 17. It still doesn't seem real that we're expecting a second. I found out Monday and my period wasn't due until yesterday or today:)

Hi all, can I join you? I can hardly believe I'm here. My name is Julie, and believe it or not I'm the thread-starter of "Moms of Onlies" in FYT! Well..... change of plans :innocent

I have a 2 y/o dd :love and have been married to dh for 3 years :love. Dh is older -- 54 -- so we've been struggling A LOT with whether or not to go for number two, and here we are. I had tons of uncertainty and ambivalence (and a week of sheer panic -- what have I done????), but now I'm feeling much better, and getting excited! I'm due around June 8. No real symptoms yet, but I started to feel quite tired today.

I am a physical therapist and I work part-time since dd was born, and love the balance in my life. Glad to meet you all!

My turn....I am Nichole, 29 and married to Scott since 5/98 who is 28. We have 3 children, Bella 3.5 yrs, Sophie 2.5 yrs, and Joey 8 months.......yes, you read that right, they are all under 4!

I am a full-time sahm and have been a doula for about 3 years off and on with having babies! My first 2 children were unmedicated hospital births and my most recent was a perfect homebirth. This will be a home/waterbirth as well. Just as with my last pregnancy I will do dual care and see both a hb mw and ob/mw. My first ob/mw appt. is scheduled for Monday, the 11th at 1 pm. A little nervous since I got pregnant the cycle following a m/c.

This is a little sad since this baby will probably be our last. I am planning to enjoy all that I can and look forward to getting to know each of you in the upcoming months!

my name is andrea (or aja). i've been married to peter for almost 5 years and we were ttc all that time. i have had 3 early misscarriages - due to low progesterone. i'm glad to say my numbers look great this time! i have an ultrasound scheduled for the 25th.

i have just started as a midwifery student, but that will be on hold for awhile. i trained as a doula a couple years ago, but never practiced proffessionally. we are both 24, and we live in denton texas. we are planning a homebirth, and we are building a home to be done in march/april.

:wave Hi, everyone! I almost lost you... go AWOL for a few days and see what happens!!

I am Brook, 29 year old SAHM/WAHM. I am a Navy wife of 7 years currently living in DC while DH attends Law School to become a JAG. I will have been married for 12 years this December. I am also a TTC board drop-out! LOL!

This is my second pregnancy. DS was born in Feb of '02 after a normal, natural labor and delivery with a midwife in a hospital birthing center. DS is an uncirc'd, fully vax'd, partially breast-fed (well, pump fed), co-sleeping, almost exlusively worn (unrecently, that is), cloth diapered and pretty spectacular little boy with Down Syndrome.

We are due in the first couple of weeks of June. I ovulated sometime in the first week of June and implantation happened on June 9. :Sheepish: We're planning a homebirth/waterbirth this time around and have begun to interview midwives. I am really excited and a little nervous about having a homebirth. I am also going to receive some prenatal care at the local Navy hospital since we have a screwy genetic history but intend to be extremely selective in what I let them do to me.

Anyway, glad we are all here and I can't wait to get to know you all better! :love

Hi! I am so excited to be here! I'm Mary, and we found out last week that we're expecting #2. We have a 22 month old son who is the light of our lives. It's been rough going but things have recently gotten better (he is a *high need child*) so we decided to start on a sibling for him!

Brook, it looks like we are neighbors- we live in Maryland. Which birth center did you use? Our son was born at the Maternity Center, with midwives- it was an awesome, super fast, unmedicated (no time for it :-) delivery and I would be so blessed if I could repeat that this time around!!

We nursed for 13 months- we had a lot of problems but we perservered (and I pumped a LOT)- hopefully this next time will be a breeze. We don't cosleep but are open to the idea- I have a really hard time sleeping but we did bring the baby into bed whenever he needed it or we go in and sleep with him in his bed! We do a selective/delayed vax schedule, are vegetarian and are into healthy living/eating, and use eco-friendly dipes! I work 2 days a week, and my husband stays home one of those days. We are debating whether I'll go back after this baby.

I am so looking forward to getting to know you ladies and sharing our pregnancies together! Best wishes to everyone with upcoming appointments and ultrasounds ;)

Just got a second BFP today and have decided to go ahead and be excited about it (although I haven't changed my sig yet :) ).

Am rushing to go to church this AM but had to check in -- I am SO happy! I am Melissa, 39-year-old mother to Miles, who will turn three next month. My husband, Michael, is 36, and we thought long and hard about #2 as we are pretty lazy, fun-loving people by nature and Miles is a very spirited boy.

Miles was born at a birth center in NJ and this time around if all goes well I'd like a home birth. He nursed for two years and still co-sleeps. I'm a SAHM and am starting a writing business (my other baby!). And, in a more serious vein, I was pg earlier this year but m/c-ed within the first week so I am pretty nervous about that, but trying not to dwell on it.

I am so excited to be here! Looking forward to getting to know all of you :)

Hi. I am Davina, a 25yr old SAHM, soon to be a WAHM. I love to knit and I sew cloth diapers. Has been for trades until now, but have just become licensed to sell knit wool pants/diaper covers. So, I'll be doing that. Dh and I have been married for 4.5 yrs. We have a 3 yr old son (may 2001, 1 yr and 5ish weeks after we got married) and a 22mo old son. I cloth diaper my younger son full time. 3 yr old only wears diapers to bed at night, but they're usually cloth as well. He's just super hard to fit. Sorry... I love cloth diapers and wool.

Anyway, I am due may 28-june 5. ??? Due date calculators say late may, but I'm not positive about LMP, besides. June 5 is just a feeling I have that I am sure means nothing. I'm EXHAUSTED lately!! Sore breasts/nipples. Feeling bloated and growing. Clothes are feeling tight already. I've gained a few pounds in the past two weeks, which is odd since I haven't been eating much? Just trying to drink lots of water and RRL tea. Hard to drink that much when I keep drinks in the kitchen (so they aren't kidnapped or spilled by one of the boys) and I just dont' think of it.

Anyone know of any way to not feel sooooo tired??? I have trouble staying awake all day, much less playing much with the kids. I feel bad about that.

Yeah, it is really tough- even as recently as June, we were saying it would be impossible to have another child because he is so all-consuming- he needs 2 parents' full energy! It really was an overwhelming thought. But since he started walking (late- at 19 months) he has been soooo much better and we decided to go for it b/c we don't want them to be TOO far apart in age.

I keep thinking, one family couldn't possibly have TWO kids like this, so I am hoping this one is a great sleeper, loves to nurse, and is a calm, happy, relaxed kid!! We shall see! Ha ha ha.

It is encouraging to know that someone else has a high need child :)

Kathy,

I'm not sure what an Indian sling looks like. My friend seemed to understand what I was asking for. I think I'll just collect slings from different cultures.

Co-sleeping and CDing are standard practice in India.(So I am told).

Hi all! My name is Karen and I am happy to be joining this board. I live in Ontario, Canada and have been married to dh for 4 years (together for 11). Dh is an engineer and I am a SAHM. We have one ds who will be 2 in a few more weeks - Yikes! I'm estimating my due date with #2 to be early June.

Things are going fine so far although I am struggling with all day/night sickness which is not much fun. Only other symptom is sore nipples while nursing ds - OUCH! I have my first doctor's appointment in a couple of weeks. I would love to have a midwife with the possibility of a homebirth but unfortunately there are no practicing midwives here so we are stuck with a hospital birth. I'm hoping to be more adamant about how we want things this time around now that I know a bit more.

I am also excited to purchase a couple of slings as I never had one for ds and wish I did. I will also be looking into cloth diapers this time around. We co-sleep, extend breastfeed, selective vax and are also vegetarians.

Glad to meet all of you and looking forward to getting to know you :) .

Cool! Well I'd definitely like to see a pic when you get it. I'm very curious about this. I'm so interested in slings and I'd love to see if they are much different from what I'm used to seeing.

The funny thing that I noticed about the people that I worked with, was that I had a few coworkers who thought it was perfectly acceptable to send their babies back to India to be raised by grandparents within months of their births. I saw quite a few 2-3 month old babies leaving the US to be raised in India by grandparents. This was so both parents could work. These people were also very well-off, highly educated, and otherwise very smart. I could never understand why they would do that. They could never understand why I didn't do the same.

Hi! I'm Betsy. I'm 33 and this is my second pregnancy. We have a very intense son, Sam, who will be 3 in December. I am still nursing him and hope to continue for as long as he wishes. We live in Northern Va, outside DC, and I'm hoping for a delivery at the Alexandria Birth Care.

I'm a little freaked out thus far, because aside from being tired and crabby I have felt pretty much OK. Some heartburn and some nausea when I'm hungry--but that abates as soon as I eat something. Last time I was sick 24 hours a day for 5 months--it was misery. I keep waiting for it to start again.

Anyway, can't believe I'm pregnant again after solemnly vowing multiple times over the toilet that I would NEVER do it again! :LOL

So here's to no sickness and a mellow second child!

I'm Jennie and pregnant with #1 due 6/7/05. I'm 27 and my DH, Will, is 28. Both of us will be a year older when the baby is born. I live in Austin, TX and started to compile my homebirth midwife list today (I've had my heart set on a homebirth for years now). So far I have eight I'd like to talk to, but I bet I'll add some more as I talk to friends around town. I have primary hypothyroidism and want to make sure me and my pregnancy are labeled "healthy and normal" by my practitioner because they are!

We told our immediate families yesterday, and I accidently spilled to beans to a friend while I was on vacation. I'm sure I'll start telling other friends and relatives soon too, because it's way to hard to keep it a secret.

I'm not sick yet, but am tired, hungry, and have huge and sore boobs.

Im a mostly stay at home mom, but I tok up a job as a nanny for a child in her home. Im hoping to watch a few children either here where Im living or wait till we move and then watch kids in my home.

We have a ton of animals-, a dog,cat,2 goats, a horse and her foal, a bunny, a guinea pig, a rabbit, some layer hens, 2 seabright roosters, and OEG rooster, a silky hen ,and 3 silky chicks.
Im hoping to get dd a pony by christmas, but have to sell the foal first unfortunately.

We spend alot of time outdoors enjoying life in general.

Im really excited about this baby, but have not told dp we are expecting since today is the day I got a definate positive result on an HPT. Im very excited and know he will be to.

Nice meeting everyone that has arrived so far :D

Hi Everyone,

I'm so happy to be here with you all :love

I'm Pepper, a SAHM to two lovely little ones and ecstatic to be pregnant with our third sweet one.

I'm so thrilled to be here with the wonderful mamas that I met on the ttc boards and look forward to getting to know all of you much better.

Be forewarned: Pregnancy makes me extremely emotional and I tend to get overly-sentimental, cry a lot, and basically just become a huge sap (but, shhhh...I secretly love it ;) ).

I've been feeling pretty good so far. A bit of nausea here and there but nothing major yet. I had nausea for 3 weeks with my first and 12 weeks with my second so I don't know what to expect this time.

Warmly,

Rocket man! Snort. That really is classic. :) :)

How's the spotting, Pepper?

On another topic, where can I get good information to have a truly "crunchy" pregnancy? I thought I was very good about it the first time around -- midwife-attended unmedicated birth at a birth center, etc. but I did have a fair number of ultrasounds and am now very unsure as to what to do about prenatal testing (I am 39). I'm sure there are other threads on here I could read -- and maybe some good books? Thanks!

PS How's everyone feeling? I'm tired and the slightest bit queasy -- also totally euphoric and happy :D

Hi everyone. I am a 36 year old WOHM of a 20 month old dd. I have been married to dh for 6 1/2 years. He is 53. Like dancingmama we also couldn't decide if we wanted to have another but now we are and we are happy about it.

My dd is breastfeeding and I am curious to see how that will go. I'm not sore yet but I am assuming I will be. I don't know if it will bother her if my supply diminishes. She is a big comfort nurser.

I think I am due in early June but not yet sure. Will probably have to have an early ultrasound to determine edd. (I never keep track of my periods.) I'm really happy to have found a midwife practice. The last delivery was with a midwife that was working in an OB practice but they got rid of her. I wasn't happy with the practice in general so I am glad to have found an alternative. First appointment is October 25th.

Nice to meet you all...

Hi Harper, good to see you here!!!

Glad you found a good MW practice. It's soooo important. We had a homebirth with awesome MWs, and are planning the same for dc2. We live in Ann Arbor MI and actually have several extremely qualified, wonderful homebirth midwife practices to choose from -- we are very lucky :)

I do, however, have this vague, lingering memory of "OMG, that was SO HARD, don't even TALK to me about doing it again" that I'll continue trying not to think about over the next 9 months!

Wow, nice to see so many from Ontario on here. :) I'm Nikki, 25 year old Graphic Designer, and DH is John, 27 year old Photonics Engineering Student. We're from Ontario, Canada. John stays at home for most of the day with our 16 month old daugher, Brynn, who was born in June of 2003. :)

The new baby will be due around the 10th of June (coincidentally the same duedate as my daughter). I'm still trying to convince DH that going with a midwife is a good idea. Today I finally got him to admit his reason...he thinks that by having a midwife, his "part" in the birth will be eliminated. I think I'll have to pull up some websites to show him. ;)

We told our families last night, when we hosted Thanksgiving dinner for everyone. We went around the table, saying what we were thankful for, and when it was DH's turn, he told them "I'm thankful that you could all make it tonight, so we could tell you all in person that we're going to be having an addition to the family." Of course, they all flipped out. It was great fun. :)

Nikki, Tell him that he'll have much more to do with a homebirth than he coudl possibly have with a hospital birth. My midwife told my husband that he could "catch" the baby, and that sold him. :D

I'm feeling fine, STILL. No nausea or anything else. I'm kinda tired, but I'm always tired. :LOL I think the whole thing is still sinking in for me. :)

Hi Nikki- I agree- with a mw your husband will have MORE of a role!

What a neat coincidence that your babies share the same due date! I wonder how close their actual birthdays will be!

What a wonderful way to announce the pregnancy- what was your family's reaction?

So what is Photonics Engineering?

~Nikki~
10-13-2004, 10:42 AM
Photonic Engineering is the engineering of light. He's learning to work with fiber optics, but wants to do his masters and branch into more of the medical aspect of it, working with vision aids and things like that (or so he says now....that could change I'm sure.)

Our family was totally stoked when they found out. My step-mother let out this primal scream (no suprise there, she loves her grand-daughter and is thrilled to be having another), my dad ran up and gave me a big hug, my father in law couldn't stop giggling, and my mother in law nearly choked on her wine. She then responded by saying "Wow, I should have caught on, I had noticed you were gaining a lot of weight." I was like "Gee, thanks, I'm about a week pregnant, that makes me feel great." Her and my husband then argued about weather or not I had gained anything (he stuck firm on the fact that I still hadn't gained a pound). Ahhh, gotta love mother in laws.

So, as Aja noticed - my math skills need some polishing. I thought I was due in July, but apparently it's early June!

I'm Melina, a 29 yo (30 next month :bigeyes) WAHM. DH, Andy, and I have been married for four years this Friday and jumped right into the family life. DS will be 3 in a few weeks and we are so excited to be giving him a sibling. DS was not planned and this one only took ONE TRY so we know we're excessively fertile. Yikes.

DS is intact, ebf'd (though no longer) and extremely outgoing and intelligent. He is in daycare pretty much full time because, though I work at home, I can't get much done with him around. HIs daddy was a SAHD for almost a year and I will get to be a SAH/WAHM with this next one for some time (at least that's our ambition.)

We are planning on a midwife-assisted hospital birth here in So. Cal. (insurance doesn't cover home births :irked:) and are anticipating a super fast one this time, since DS was only 7 hours and about 15 minutes of pushing. Whoa.

So, HI!!

Hey Everyone,

So after all that stupidity of posting in the wrong club, etc., I miscarried last night.

Thanks, and good luck to everyone. Hopefully I'll be able to join another due date club in the near future.

Hi Everyone!!

My name is Amber. I'm 33. Dh and I have been married about 5.5 years. We live in Dallas, TX – at least for now. Dh is trying to get a new job, so, with any luck, we'll be moving soon!

We have one son, Alden, who is 2.5 and the light of my life. We co-slept with him from birth until he was 2 and now he's in his own bed next to ours. He's still nursing 3-4 times per day.

We recently found out that we're expecting #2. My due date is 06/16/05! We're so excited! I had a little bit of bleeding very early on, but had some blood work done and my hcg levels were increasing as they should and the bleeding stopped. Hopefully, everything will be okay for the rest of this pregnancy. :sticky

I had my first ob appointment yesterday. I really like her, and am hoping for a natural birth this time around. With Alden I was induced after my ob “accidentally” broke my water and ended up getting an epidural. :( This ob seems really cool so far and I was impressed that she didn't have a problem with me still bf Alden. Yay! I hope if we end up moving, I can find someone I like as well.

So, anyway, I'm really happy to be here and am looking forward to getting to know you all!

Hi mamas :wave

wow that was a lot of reading I had to do to get here :LOL looks like we have a large group of us expecting summer babes :)

My name is Carrie, I'm 24, married for four years to my high school sweet heart, David who is 26. We have an almost two year old daughter named Mariah. I am a SAHM.

With Mariah I had a totally natural birth in a birthing center with a midwife. It was awesome! This time around we are planning a home water birth with a midwife. We are so excited!

We are a natural living family and we seem to be getting crunchier all the time :thumb

When I was pregnant with dd I had no idea about mdc or online communities. I really could have used the support because my family (and probably dh's too!) thought I was nuts for having my babe in a birthing center, for not doing an u/s, not wanting to know the sex etc. I'm glad that this time around I will not be "going it alone" so to speak. Not that my husband isn't wonderfully supportive - he is! - but it will be nice to talk to other naturally minded mamas, kwim?

Carrie,
I think you may be a rare find! I never really gave any of the crunchy stuff any thought until I came online and started reading stories, seeing pictures, joining online communities. Now with each pregnancy and birth I'm becoming more and more of a natural momma myself.
I started with a hospital induction which ended in c-section (complete with the doc going on vacation lol), then the following year I had a completely unmedicated hospital birth, and this year I hope to graduate with honors by having a home birth with a midwife :)
I'm glad you're here!!!
Take care,
Karen

Hi! My name is Carra. I'm 26 and I have a son who is 10 months old.

Our families think I'm crazy. I'm still nursing my son (which they think is crazy on it's own) when we told them I was pregnant they wanted to know if I would finally stop nursing and I said no. Now they think I'm completely nuts.

I have a great doctor and had a wonderful hospital birth with my son and I plan to go the hospital route again. I'm getting more and more into natural family living but I'm not sure I'm ready for non-hospital, no doc birth. :shrug Maybe baby #3.

Looks like there are a lot of us! This should be fun.

Wow!! There are so many June mamas!!

I just had my u/s today and found out my due date is June 4th. DH and I have been married for 4 years and this will be our first child. We are both so excited!! DH is in the military and I haven't found a job yet since we just moved to a new location. I guess I will probably hold off on getting a job since I want to be a SAHM. I am 29 and dh is 34. So far we haven't told anyone (except you guys) that we are expecting. I think we will probably wait until the 12 week mark since I just had a m/c in July. We want to make sure everything is ok before telling everyone.

I am so glad to meet everyone and am looking forward to getting to know all of you over the upcoming months :thumb .

Hiya, My name is Louise and I am not an American Follower, I am from southern England in sunny Bournemouth. I am 22 and have just finished a degree in Applied Psychology and Computing. As you can imagine, I am a litttle shocked to be having a baby as I kinda had a few other things planned but I am getting the excitement bit by bit. I have been with Danny 26 for 2 years and I am please to say he is happy about the baby, however he just wants to sit tight till week 12, so he does not have to worry anymore. We are both so worried about a m.c. I think that the shock is enough let alone having to go though another. :innocent

Our future little ray of sunshine is due 13th June 2005.

I guess I'm joining too!

My name is Sasha, I'm a SAHM of 3 kids. Elizabeth is 5, Alexander is 3, and Holden is 12.5 months. This pregnancy is a bit of a shock, but a nice one. :) We just found out today, so I'm still a little...shocked, lol.

This will be our first homebirth, hopefully.

Um, I think that's it. ;) Looking forward to getting to know everyone!

Hi, can I join? I've been lurking at MDC for almost 5 years now, but don't post much.
Whew! I took a test this morning which was +++. Although I knew it would be I'm still kind of in shock.
My due date is either June 12 or June 17, depending on whether I use the date I started spotting or when I think I actually got my period (they are pretty irregular).
Anyways, I have a son who is 3 and a half right now. He breastfeed until a little after his 3rd birthday. We co-sleep, he is not circed and is 75% vaccinated.
I have been fluctuating between being happy and sad. I am happy to give DS a sibling and to watch what a wonderful big brother he will be. I am also sad because I worry that I will not be able to love this one as much as I love my son (everyone tells me this is a common worry, but totally not true), and I worry about $$, work, etc. But, I wouldn't change things for the world!
Congratulations to all the mommas and soon-to-be-mommas on the board :)

Hi, DH and I have been married for 8 months (the shortest of the group it appears!) and we are going to have a baby in mid-June. I'm looking forward to all the wonders of pregnancy and beyond, and to talk to mothers like you who are going through similar bodily changes and anxieties as I am. I know many who are a couple months ahead of me, but it certainly is special to talk to someone who is on the same timeline as me.

We are both young engineers living in Silicon Valley, California. Weather's great (well, not so much the past 2 days), but I hope to get a lot of fresh air and walking during the pregnancy. I was eating a bunch the first couple weeks, but the first bout of morning sickness (sore stomach, blahness, tiredness, but no nausea or vomit) started this week and I've lost most of my appetite. Exception is for this really good salsa that I made with organic tomatoes tonight....

I will read this bulletin regularly...

Take care!

I just got a BFP this morning! Woo hoo! :banana So I am sort of on the cusp between June and July... so I get 2 due date clubs! Lucky me! :D

I am 34, DH is 32. He's a teacher, I am primarily a SAHM but I do some work from home for the bookstore I worked for before our son Cole was born. He is our only child and will be 2 on the day before Halloween. I am fluctuating between elation and a feeling of "OMG, what have we done??" But I have faith it will all work itself out.

Looking forward to sharing our trials and tribulations with all of you!

Well, I'm nervous and excited to be posting here!! I am due 6/28. There I said it! I took yet another test today, and it is very positive. :) I am so excited to get to use this smiley... :belly <---That is me!

DH and I have been ttc since May 04 and had an ectopic pregnancy in Oct 04, resulting in my right tube being removed. I had an hsg test in Aug where they test your tubes to make sure they are clear and it was. And here I am. Hopefully I get to stay, I'm going to get bloodwork on Monday to confirm it.

Hi everyone! I'm in my early 30's, with a just turned 3yo dd. We live in Maryland. DD is still nursing 7-9 times a day (!), cosleeping, and started montessori school in mornings this year. I'm SAH but still keep involved a bit in our family business. I've had several prior losses - 13 weeks, 23, and 28. We'll know if things are ok or not probably somewhere between 18 and 22 weeks. If things stay normal, I'm probably planning a vba2c home birth somewhere around June 14.

I've been on a big medieval mystery kick recently, my family think I'm an online research and shopping expert, and I'm a Tivo addict. DD really likes arts and crafts right now, and cooking. I'm also interested in alternative medicine and acupuncture and MDC, though I'm just back after a hiatus of a few months.

Hi! I'm Allison. I've been married to my sweetheart Eric for 9.5 years. We have 5 wonderful (most of the time) kids, ages almost 12, 9, almost 7, 4.5, and 2.5. I'm due June 11th, though it will probably be more like the 25th! We're planning our first (and last - no more babies :( ) homebirth. We'll meet with the midwives I'm hoping to use today.

I love to sew, and between that, and homeschooling, I don't have much time for anything else!

hey allison! i'm also "due" june 11th. we're gonna have a homebirth in our new house. i am so excited.

thanks for the well wishes, ladies! i am gonna go lay down and read and try to take a nap. i'm nervous.

i have a question. i was using clomid when i got pregnant, and we confirmed that 2 follicles released eggs when i o'ed. of course, our families know this (both are moms are way into pregnancy and women's health issues, so they got a total play by play on all the fert stuff) and several friends know it. now, i know it seems like there's a good chance of twins, but really, we were shocked to get pg at all. all our family and friends are really hoping for twins. they keep saying it. i am so annoyed. i keep saying we would be pleased as punch for a healthy baby. we'll find out at the sonogram today for sure if there is more than one in there. i'm pretty sure there is just the one. when we tell people (my mom especially) i KNOW she is gonna be dissappointed. it annoys me just thinking about it. so, what is a good way to handle that? i am so excited to be pregnant, and it's so disheartening to think people are gonna be sad that it's "only 1" baby. grr. maybe i'm just too moody.

my plan is to call and tell her everything is fine with the baby and i'll e-mail her sonogram pics and then try to get off the phone. if anyone says anything less than enthusiastic, i may be rude. i'm pregnant, people. leave me alone.
