Shall we try it out? I like having a spot just to post a quick update or thought without having to make a a new thread.

Let's see...I'm 6w1d and this morning for the first time I was very afraid of what would happen if I didn't eat before I got out of bed. That seemed to do the trick and I'm feeling pretty okay right now.

I felt so awful last night - I thought I was going to get sick a few times. When I was pregnant with ds I always felt great in the mornings and it just got worse through the day. That's how things seem to be again so far, which is good since I get up at 4:30 two mornings a week for work.

6 weeks exactly today -- and feeling great still. Getting very bloated at night and still sleepy a lot but no m/s so far. I keep expecting it even though it wasnt until 6w5d last time. I guess I feel like it will be EXACTLY the same which I know is silly.

I dont have another dr. appt. til Nov. 5th and I just dont know if I can wait that long! My ob said we will hear the heartbeat at the appt. but I feel like I need to now!

oh Amy, how wonderful for you. That must have been so amazing and emotional to see the heartbeat :heartbeat It's like it makes it so real and you have actual proof that you are growing a baby in there. Congratulations to you! Why five vials of blood drawn, though?

I'm 16dpo (I gotta stop with that and start with the pregnancy lingo, huh?) and I'm feeling slightly more hungry (hard to notice a huge difference because I'm nursing and always hungry anyway), a bit more tired and this morning I was THRILLED to wake up and feel really nauseous. A month from now I'll be moaning and groaning about how awful it is but right now it reassures me that I have enough HCG to feel nausea.

And I walked around yesterday with the top button on my jeans undone! dh is going to get out my maternity box from the storage closet but I think I'll need to get new stuff....browsed around babystyle.com yesterday and there are some cute things there!

Well, as I mentioned in another thread, I caved, at 4w1d and bought myself two pairs of maternity pants last night. I'm glad I did, I'm so much more comfy. And I do have room to grow in these, even though I got the smallest ones I could find.

No nausea at all. I talked to my best friend, who's due in February (:D) this morning, and she told me that her nausea didn't start till about 8w, and lasted till about 12w. And she had it BAD. We are exactly alike in all other aspects, I'd imagine our pregnancies will be, too. :LOL

My mother gave me a "Baby on Board" Boyd's Bear for my birthday. She must have had it at her house for months, because she just had surgery and couldn't go out to get it in the time between when I told her and my birthday (Sat to Mon). Anyway,I just mention it, because it's sitting on my desk here at work, making me smile. :D

Hope everyone else is feeling a distinct lack of nausea, too! :carrot

i've got the nausea. blech. i am nauseous from the time i wake up (which is always early because of the heartburn) until late afternoon. i can barely snack during the day - and only because it gets worse if i don't eat something. in the evenings i am good to eat a decent dinner (but nothing acidic because of the heartburn). my boobs are really sore, and my nipples feel like they have burns on them. ouch!

i have had 3 pregnancy losses though, so i am glad to be feeling all the symptoms so distinctly.

I just talked to a very sweet and cool midwife, and I'm going to see her next week! I was starting to get worried about finding someone, because two very highly recommended midwives are either on vacation or moving. I'm still waiting to hear back from two others.

5 vials of blood were drawn for various and assorted tests. A titre for rubella being one of them.

I'm supposed to have an internal exam next week. I believe I am going to refuse it. (there is a thread about this if anyone wants to contribute)

Well Iam 6wks 2days I think today. My symptoms have actually mellowed out a bot since yesterday. Not that I had strong ones earlier, but I was nauseous, tired, weepy, had gut rot.
I went to the MW today to get on the books and I was hoping to hear the heartbeat but they said it was to early. I have an appt for Nov.1 and Ill be 9 and a half weeks so maybe...

My biggest symptom is that Iam extremely irritable. I dont remember that at all last time, wish I wasnt.
But Im having fun and trying not to count the days so that they wont pass too slowly.

Me too! Especially today. I'm so cranky and have no patience :demon

aja, stop charting if you can! I didn't temp today because yesterday my temp went down .3 and I worried all morning...I put my thermometer away.

Well, I'm 7 weeks I think? I am feeling really sleepy, but I think that is more due to not being able to sleep at night--- I have so much on my mind. I am already having dreams about delivering in the car or having to deliver at the hospital and having to fight for what I want. My last delivery was very fast and right at 37 weeks (the birth center cut off). Anyway, I'm worrying way too soon, I know!

My breasts are feeling really sore today, and I think I am starting to 'grow' a little around the waist- I realized why I thought I wasn't- I have never been able to fit into any clothes around the waist since having my son, so all my clothes are low on the hips or loose already :D

I don't have an appt till the end of Oct. so I'm hoping to hear the heartbeat then and finally start to think that this is all REAL and not a figment of my imagination!

Amy, so cool about the u/s! Too exciting!

Not feeling as yucky today. Just peeing up a storm! My jeans don't fit around the waist!!!

This is the first time I have actually not known how many weeks I am, but then again, I'm not even sure about my due date! I am thinking I am about 5 - 5.5 weeks. Not too many symptoms other than extremely irritable and very sleepy. No real nausea here, but never have been during pregnancy. I am ready to start outgrowing my clothes as I think that will make it more real. U/s next Wed. and nervously waiting for that! Hoping to see a heartbeat as well!

Happy Thursday everyone! :D Who said they're irritable? I am TOO! I keep BITING DH's head off his poor shoulders. And I KNOW I'm doing it while it's happening, and I just can't help it. :LOL Poor Paul.

I left work early yesterday, because I was tired, and I was going out for dinner with Paul and some friends. I knew if I didn't go home and take a nap, i'd end up falling asleep in my pasta. As it is, even WITH my nap, I came home and went RIGHT to bed after dinner. I don't think I've ever been so tired in my life.

And "Pregnant Stupid" is starting early. I am turning into a freaking MORON, I swear! :LOL This kid better get a full academic scholarship to Harvard, with the amount of brains she's stealing from me! :LOL

Sooo tired yesterday!

Felt quesy this morning, but it seems better after eating a bagel. I am so afraid of the sickness I had last time--5 mos. of throwing up, busting vessels in my eyes, dehydrating, needing medication.

And I am sooooo fat already! It's stunning, really.

Hi everyone! I have no concentration whatsoever. I am SO tired. Its all I can do to get through dinner and get stuff ready for the next day before I fall asleep! I dont even remember going and getting Maxi out his crib in the middle of the night last night but I woke up and there he was in bed with us!

I am super tired too - I really don't remember being this tired last time. Jack was super sick with a cold last night and barely slept. We were up twice to get medicine, than he had to puke, than I had to pee. Plus I had worked 10 hours yesterday and been up since 4:30. Luckily, dh got up with him this morning and let me sleep. Than when I got up I put in Shrek and we both napped some more. He is napping again right now. Sometimes I wonder how I'm going to make it through this time w/ a toddler. Sorry to whine :innocent

Maybe this should be a new thread -- but would love any ideas of how to do this. When I was pg with ds I slept a LOT. Today I was able to talk him into taking a nap with me (two heavenly hours) but he is usually napless these days.

So, I'm sleepy, hungry, and a teeny bit bloated around the belly. My breasts feel a little funny, although they are not tender yet. I am also still super-duper happy. And having really freaky dreams!

I think this is one way that having a 2nd child is harder. With the toddler you just can't sleep when your body is telling you. You are getting up at odd times. It just makes it harder.
As far a tips, I'm thinking. I have a great DH and he usually pulls late evening duty so I can go to bed at 9-9:30. He then puts #1 to bed for me.
I'm at work and it has been hard to resist taking that nap after lunch at my desk. Since I just started and noone knows about my June bug, I thought I'd better not.

Let me think about what we've done.

Morning, Mamas!

I'm sitting at my desk and work, smelling SOMETHING, and I can't figure out what it is. And it's bugging me. :LOL This heightened sense of smell is something else. I'm going to end up cleaning this entire office today to find this smell.

Last night, i went to bed right after Survivor, 9pm. I don't think I've been to bed by 9pm since I was in grammar school. Then I didn't sleep very well, because if I lay on my back or stomach, I wake up having to pee, and laying on my side gives me gas and/or cramps. So, I'm up every hour or so, either to stumble to the bathroom in the dark or shift position and take some deep breaths. One way or the other, I've been sleeping lousy. And at 4:30, DH's alarm goes off to tell him it's time to get up and go to the gym. Only, HE doesn't hear he alarm, I do. I wake up and kick him out of bed, only to be told, "Today's a six o'clock day" before he rolls over and goes back to sleep. you're kidding, right?

So, when he got back from the gym around 8ish and I was still in bed, I let him have it but good. I'm grumpy when I'm tired. :LOL

talk about heightened sense of smell! so my brother stayed the nigth last night and this morning i smell fresh coffee brewing. i' thinking - what a jerk! he knows i'm pregnant and he's making coffee! when i head downstairs i can't smell it at all. when i get back upstairs i smell it again. it was comming from our neibhors! how crazy! so then i go into the kitchen to get a drink and a little snack, and our trash smells sooooo bad. it's a fresh bag, with just some trash from making dinner last night (which btw i didn't get finished before peter brought home food).

i can smell everything. it's so crazy.

Well, I know something about this topic! It can be really difficult (especially in the 3rd trimester when you become really big and really tired) but if your toddler is still napping then you get a nice break in the afternoon. Even if he or she isn't you can always have a rest time in the bed or utilize a video every now and then to get a 30 minute break.

It helps to do things in advance the night before. Make snacks, make lunches (pb and j!), set out clothes, whatever will help make your day go easier. Also, my dh steps up bigtime when I'm pregnant--honestly, I expect him to REALLY help out a lot--hey, I'm growing our child in my body the least he can do is to do the laundry or put away dishes or make dinners when I'm feeling really tired!

I have my first midwife appt this Tuesday and I'm kinda nervous. I'm having symptoms but they come and go and for some reason I'm terrified that something will go wrong because I had TONS of spotting during my lp. The spotting is pretty much stopped but I worry about low progesterone...hopefully they can test it to put my mind at ease.

Gotta run. Have a wonderful Friday, ladies!!

I'm having the SAME problem and it's driving me nuts- I'm not sleeping too well, then my dh sets his alarm, and keeps snoozing, meanwhile it's waking ME up on the days I don't have to get up, and then I can't get back to sleep! Last night I slept in a different room to catch up a little, but I still got woken up by some noise outside and then as soon as I finally got back to sleep, the phone rang with a wrong number :irked:

Off to take a nap while my little guy is sleeping :)
