Anyone in Okinawa?

I don't live in okinawa but in hokkaido, the northest island of Japan....from what i heard okinawa is a paradise and poeple from all Japan go there for summer vacations...you are lucky to be moving there...:)

I've never been to Okinawa, but my mother lived there as a child for a couple of years.

It sounds like it was very beautiful, warm and tropical.

I moved to the Ibaraki prefecture two weeks ago, so I'm still fairly new.

pb_and_j, did you end up moving to Okinawa? My DH & I are facing the possibility of moving there (USMC). I'm particularly interested in any info on home birth.
