I have a 2 year old hta has a cavity between his 2 front teeth. It was a dark psot for some time before we realized it was also a cavity. He fell down the steps a week ago and I realized today that the area that had been dark is gone and the center of his teeth jagged.

Can tooth issues cause behavior issues? Like being overly grouchy or moody.

We have dental insurance now and I've found a dentist and making an appt today. But I'm afraid that I'll go in and find out his whole mouth is full of cavities.

I'm not sure if a cavity could cause behaviour problems. I suppose if the cavity were hurting, that could cause some irritability.

My oldest has had a ton of cavities & had them filled. With kids they tend to use a temporary filling which goes on in a minute or two. Very easy for the kids.

In our experience, I'd have to say, it's better to get in there, because the longer you wait, the worse the situation can get and then the treatment can get more difficult & painful.
