Visiting Stuttgart

Hi! I'm an American living in Canada, married to a German translator. We are planning a visit to Stuttgart with our baby--hopefully this coming April. Most of dh's business clients are located there. We'd like to stay for a month. I'm looking for suggestions/leads on an affordable rental or house exchange (if anyone is interested in a house exchange, we live in a gorgeous tourist destination popular with German retirees--it's great for sailing, birdwatching, and art shopping. It's also a UNESCO world heritage site.)

And of course, I'd love to meet any area mamas when we're there. I haven't been to Europe since I was little--I'm looking forward to the change of pace! (And increased distance from the Bush regime!)

Currently living in Stuttgart (dh French, me N. California native), I'd be happy to help you with anything you may need to feel comfortable on your visit. As for housing exchanges, I don't personally know where you could find info about this. Perhaps on www.immobilien24.de? If not, perhaps you could contact the German Tourist office in Canada, or the Canadian tourist office in Germany?
