ok. here is my dilema. 10, 12 and 13 dpo I got very, very faint positive urine preg tests. I was worried about a possible repeat chemical pregnancy, so asked my midwife to order a blood test. on about 14 dpo (i'm guessing cuz i'm not exactly sure when i ovulated) my bHcG was 49. I did some research and some say it's normal, others say it's low. We're doing another beta test tomorrow, but won't get the results back until Monday (anxious and can't wait that long). With my second pregnancy my results were much higher at the same time (about 100-200). Anyone else with a similar situation? If it were a chemical pregnancy, wouldn't it have spontaneously aborted by now?

I think 49 sounds normal for 13 dpo. They probably just want to make sure its doubling and that is why they did the repeat test. Hang in there mama! It sucks you have to wait to Monday to find out.

Try a digital HPT too, it gave me some peace of mind since I had been getting faint lines too.

When I was pregnant with my son, my hcg was *9* at about 10 days post ovulation. Hopefully all is well. I know it's hard to wait!!!!

Well, my second bHcG 2 days later (when it's supposed to at least double) was only 72 from 49. So it doesn't look good. We're doing another test on Monday, but my midwife said if that number is still low we'll start taking herbal tea to help abort it. That sounds horrible, but if it's not a viable pregnancy, then what else can I do? I haven't started bleeding on my own yet and I wouldn't want to wait too long and end up having a D&C. But then again, what if everything is fine???

I've heard of that happening. Hang in there mama!

When I was pregnant with my son they told me not to count on it (I had 3 prior m/c due to low progesterone levels and again with him). He is 2 now so I dont always believe what they say.

good luck! I had a very faint pos and pretty low hcg levels too, but they tripled as they should so everything seems ok right now. Hope the same goes for you.

We just went through almost the same thing, but our level almost doubled in 48 hours. Our nurse told us 60% in 48 hours, and by my calculation, your number is perfect! Hang in there!
