OMG! :love
I just had one of the most exciting OB appointments. I really didnt know if I would like this OB/GYN for OB but I do. She is GREAT. Very energetic and excited. I think my pregnancy will move smoothly and she seems to be fine with all my wants for planned c-sec birth.
I am six weeks three days and due July 9th. We did an US for dating since I have only had one period since May. They had a new state of the art US machine, it does 3D and 4D imaging. Anyway, when she was doing the dating of the pregnancy you could see everything clear as a bell. You could even see the head pretty clearly and the heart flickering away. The heart rate was 117.

My cramping I am having is from constipation. :( I have gained 8lbs since my Aug appointment and she told me with a stool softner and drinking lots of water, I will probably have lost that by my next appointment. This seems very real to me now.

Hello. I glad to hear that everything went so well at your first visit. :thumb It's wonderful that you like your OB so much.

I'm sorry to pry, but are you having the planned c-sec due to your uterine shape (you mentioned it on the other thread)?

Partly. My OB did ask me if I wanted a trial of labor today but I declined. My uterine shape often prevents babies from being engaged, one was transverse and my last one had an arm/shoulder against the cervix and head in my left pelvic area. Once they firmly get somewhere they really cant move. Also I have had two csections. One was a total nightmare and an emergency, my second one was absolutely fantastic. I know the risks and have read comprehensive research and just feel that a repeat is the safe way to go. Even though my OB was willing to let me have a trial a labor (odd in these here parts) she did look relieved when I said I wanted to schedule a repeat.

My uterine deformity comes from DES exposure. :(

Right after I posted that, I read your intro and noticed what you said there about your uterine abnormality.

My uterine deformity comes from DES exposure.
I'm sorry to hear you have this issue to deal with, regardless, but I'm sure it's extra painful for you to know that it was caused by this drug. :hugs mama!

Well, congrats again on your new pregnancy. :thumb since it seems you have passed the critical period when you would expect progesterone issues.
