I'm not a professional herbalist, but I've used herbal products frequently for years. This tea seems pretty safe to me. I have read that there is some concern that peppermint may be a uterine stimulant, but I have used it in tea form to settle my stomach without any problems. If you're concerned, you can make the tea weak to start with. Also, if you are taking it for a stuffy nose, you can use pepperment or eucalyptus oil instead and put a drop or two on your pillow or clothes to clear your sinuses. The oils also work well in a vaporizer.
Good luck - Cynthia :)

I've been avoiding it because I'm not sure of some of the herbs. Mothering.com has a list to avoid, I think, and Aviva Jill Romm's book (can't think of the name) has lists of good and bad herbs.
About mint, one of the reasons to avoid it is it's relaxing to the whole throat area, so can increase heartburn.
For colds, my midwives OK'd echinacea, ginger, vit c (up to 3000 mg)and garlic. I'm sure there are others, but I didn't ask, as I was on the recovery end when I went in last, and kind of rushed.

I think hyssop is best avoided in pregnancy. I'm not an herbalist, but just about every list of "to avoid" herbs has hyssop in it and it has been used as an ingredient in abortifacients.
