can anyone tell me the symptoms of dehydration? i know the typical one - less urine and tears. here are my symptoms and i wonder if i should be concerned:
every time i stand up i blcak out, even if i was really slow to get up. i am sick to my stomach and finally drinking water makes me very sick. i can only drink a very little sip at a time and this just doesnt seem normal to me.
if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.

That sounds like low blood sugar to me.Have you been getting enough protein in your diet?Protein and several small meals a day will help with that problem.Of course drinking tons of water is good but you need to keep your protein up as well. Some almonds are good if you can't keep much down.Water made me sick in the first trimester.I could only drink bottled water.Soups, broths, gatorade anything that can hydrate you will help.

thanks. i have been eating a little meat with each meal but although i am past 15 weeks, i have still been pretty sick so everything is in very small quantities.
i will definately try the almonds and see how they settle.

could also be low blood pressure or anemia.
Do you have a midwife or doctor you see? you might wanna run it by them and get checked out... AND, stand up slowly!

dehydration will cause your urine to be very dark. I had some of those symptoms while pregnant, and I had a mild form of anemia (low iron).

maybe i am anemic. that would also explain why i have been so tired lately. after i had dd i was very anemic and i fell asleep every time i sat down. i even fell asleep while talking to my mom on the phone. i will have to check in with my ob and see what we can figure out. thanks for all the help.
my other symptom, how could i forget, is a pretty constant headache. it started a couple of weeks ago and it has just been getting worse.
