Or am I the only one? We've waited ten years for this blessing. If we are given a :storkgirl she will be Emily Ashleigh, and if a :storkboy is gifted us, he will be Ethan Anthony... we chose these names before we ever really decided to TTC for sure.

So who else is crazy like me?

Right now we are throwing around Eli for a boy, Elise for a girl. Still thinking though. :D

we had names picked out by this time (last time I was pg) ds ended up not having a name for almost a week though until we finally decided :eyesroll and his name is neither of the original's.

so far we like EmmaLee or Maya for a girl and Hayden or Dakota for a boy (though DH like Dakota for a girl too) and I'm sure it will change.

I've had a girl's name in mind for at least two years. Still no boy's name.

I'm all out of names, :LOL I still havn't adjusted to the idea of being pregnant enough to think about names yet. ;) I had my two girls names picked out before they were conceived, by son's name was finally chosen 2 days after his due date. (he was 10 days past due)

Our names tend to be long-discussed; and our 1st picked the 2nds name. We had a bunch of names and I kept asking if the baby was a boy or a girl and he'd say boy. and then he'd say he was a Max. Then I'd say well what should we name it if it's a girl and he'd say Max. So to smooth the transition for him, since we liked it we went with Max. (BtW - he is sooo Max). It was fun last time because at 2 he didn't really get what I was asking but at 4 1/2 I don't think that I'll give him that much power.

{bolding mine} I'm starting to see a lot more girls named variations of Emma and Emily ... oh well. I like it..

I love the name Owen or Vassar for a boy too, but DH doesn't like them. :(

I wanted to originally spell EmmaLee as Amelie.

then we came up with EmmaLee Skye. obviously baby was a boy but I still love it :love

we will likely have a list ready (hopefully a short one!) and pick when the baby arrives. for some reason I could not 100% decide on a name for ds until I could see him..I had to be sure it fit :) plus I'm a bit superstitious.

btw I have a HUGE name book if anyone wants spelling variations. (can't believe how many there are for Dylan!)

You're not the only one thinking of names already! If the baby is a girl, she will likely be Elisabeth Ann, our mothers' middle names. A boy, Andreus Christian. I have always liked the name Adele, but I can't sell anyone else on it.

my dd#1's name came to me in a dream.......she told it to me
'it was actualy a true vision b/c she ended up looking just like i saw her in the dream and she was in a sling that someone ended up giving me....it was a very holy exp........

and for this one....welllllll i already feel like i know her name too.
and this is how:
my friend and i were discussing when was the best time to have a second child. i told her:
although i know it is not practical now....and that is why dh is dead against it....i feel really callled to have another child come through me recently....it has felt like someone is almost tapping me on my shoulder and asking me to make room for them...the strangest part is that i can already feel the energy of that child's temperment and personality. i even know that it is a girl and i can kind of visualize what she looks like....i even know her name.....it is gloria b/c she is just so powerful and beautiful.

long story short (b/c there are so many other signs that also came before and after this conversation....)
my husband and i had sex on my ovulation day (thanksgiving's full moon....) and it was EARTH SHADDERING sex.....sorry to be graphic but it was devine intervention at it's best.....b/c we of course used a condom and of course the condom completly exploded,,,,
and i knew right when i concieved b/c i felt what happend when i concieved before.....like the universe shifted and made room for one more.....
and we both just knew then....ha! so much for being practical! it looks like magic, god, and intuition win again!

anyway
i totally now know that she is a gloria.....
and i am thinking it might be:
gloria alizabella may and we will call her glori may

it was long but i just had to share it!
thanks if you made it this far!

moma justice, my 3rd child was like that. DH and I knew that we had concieved that night, the test weeks later was just confirmation of what we already knew, and we had felt her choosing to be born to us, she also looked exactly as she had in my dreams.
Our next baby will be William Thomas if it's a boy (name chosen 2 babies ago...both our dad's names) For a girl I'd like Madaeline...that was what I wanted for our last one.

We knew at conception as well.. or strongly suspected anyways... :) And even my five year old has had a 'feeling' from what I've been seeing and hearing {kids don't know yet} Like every time we go anywhere that has a baby department she will say "Can we get x for the baby?" Even when I say "What baby?" she just rolls her eyes at me.. The kid has more intuition than I did at that age, which is scary...

If it's a girl, probably Luna. Boy: Nicholas, Landon, Elias, not sure.....

Hehehe....I'm actually looking forward to NOT having to go round and round with hubby on a name for this baby! Glad someone else gets that right :) I know that my IPs have a deal for names--IM (intended mother of the baby) has the right to name girls and IF (intended father of the baby) has the right to name boys.

I am so torn on this subject, because part of my cultural tradition is to do very little planning ahead of the birth, so that you let the soul of the baby develop without outside influence. Traditionally, we do not find out the gender or settle on a name before the baby is born. So, last time, we went to the hospital with two girl names picked and two boy names sort-of picked. Luckily it was a girl, and when she was born, I asked my dh to choose which of the two names she would have. If she'd have been a boy, it might have been days before he had a name...

...which brings me to the trouble. If this is a boy, he may be nameless! DH and I never were able to figure out names we liked. I have strong feelings about naming children in honor of family that has passed away, so our choices are kind of limited to names beginning with R, N, S, or B (DH's grandmother or grandfather, and my grandfather or great uncle). The boys names I like are Reuben (Rube), Noah, Nathaniel, Ben, and Samuel. DH likes none of those except MAYBE Ben, a name just taken by my cousin's new son. He goes hot and cold on Reuben.

Girls names are easier for us somehow, but I feel so different this time that I'm pretty sure it's not another girl. I like Naava, Samara, Anya, Natania, Becca, Shoshana. I could probably talk DH into some of those. :W

DH doesn't want to talk about it yet -- so check back with me in a few more months!

If this little one is a boy, we'll go with the name we had chosen for a boy the last time we were pg - Liam Patrick.

I always have trouble with girl names. We like the name Ione (pronounced "I - own - ee") but don't know for sure if it would be a good name. What do you think? Honestly???

I like the name Amy, too, but my family has a negative history with someone named Amy and we didn't get cheers for that suggestion... I think maybe we could use it and say we were trying to replace the neg with a positive?? might be a long shot...

We've had name choices for a loooooong time :)

They're not set in stone, but I don't imagine we'll be changing our minds.

I'm pretty sure if it is a boy, Eli Thomas. Girl, not so sure, but thinking about Gracelyn.

We'll probably use the boy's name we picked out last time...we were SO sure that S. was a boy that we almost didn't pick a girl's name. (We didn't have a u/s -- we both just felt really strongly that she was a boy. Oops!)

So...we don't really have a girl's name picked out at all, and it will be h*ll choosing one because we have almost completely different tastes in girls' names.

I'm actually thinking about finding out the sex this time...that way if it's a boy, we won't have to go through all the back and forth....lol.

We've decided on the boys name...Well the first name at least. If it's a boy, he will be Nasir , but for a girl I have a ton of names to choose from. Now I'm trying to decide if we will find out the sex before birth or not.

Girls' names that at least one of us liked during my last pg:

Maia (but one of my closest friends used this for his DD)
Irina
Ruby (Dh doesn't like it though)
Emain (pr. EM-en - Irish name)
Quinn
Sydney (also my sister's dog's name, so a bit weird)
Isabella (but it's sooo popular and DH has a common last name)

I LOVE baby names! :)

NVinVT, I love the name Ruby. And I would also second the name Quinn, as my dd is Quinn. :) Quinn Avery, to be exact. Most people will assume she is a boy before seeing her, but I don't care.

Our names for girls:

Avalon (Ava)
Scarlett

Boys:

Sullivan (Sully)
Malik (partner's middle name, pronounced Mall-eek)

littlecurvieme,
(this is NVinVT...I just remembered my old log-in and password! Duh.)

Thanks -- I think Quinn is a front-runner for a girl. I like Avery too...but we will probably be using a family name for the middle name.

I love Sullivan and Scarlett! Those would be supercute twin names. Lol.

:)
