I got to see my baby!

I went to the midwife's for my first appointment today. They tried to hear the baby's heartbeat with a doppler and could not. So rather than have me come back in a week and try again (they estimated me at 11 weeks), they did an ultrasound. I was glad because I have been worried about this baby, we've had a lot of bad news lately and I am just a worrier by nature. And there (s)he was! :love (S)he was kicking and squirming and waving his/her arms around - I mean, this kid was really moving! :D And the heartbeat was steady and strong. Plus I got a picture to show DH when he gets home!

I showed DS the picture when I picked him up from my friend's house and he said, "What's his name?" :LOL

Anyway, I am beaming and just wanted to share my good news. :)

yay it is so magical when yo uget to see babies for the first time..or anytime:LOL

but theni am the sort that if ultrasoudn was completly undeniably safe and i was rich i would buy and ultrasound machine and hire tech to do ultrasoudns every day :LOL

How wonderful!!! I love the whooshy sound of their little heartbeats. I can't wait to hear our little nugget's heartbeat, and SEEING him/her! That is just TOO exciting!

My DH and I saw our baby on Thursday on the ultrasound monitor. We saw and heard his/her heartbeat for the first time.

It was surreal and very exciting.

The big smile on DH face was priceless.

Congratulations. I saw my baby on u/s Monday. Saw the hb and arms and legs. The tech said everything looked good, although I haven't heard from the doc yet. :eyesroll
