I know it's still ealry. just wondering if anyone is feeling it yet? I am kind of worried because I am not. I know that's silly though :shy

I HAD been feeling fine, but the past couple of days I've had to leave the table in the middle of meals, and after each meal I feel nauseous and need to lay down for a while. I usually don't have severe morning sickness - I've only actually vomited once during 3 pregnancies so far. It's usually worst from weeks 8-11 so this seems a little early, and I'm hoping it will stay at this level and not get worse as those weeks approach.
What was your past experience? I don't think I would worry just yet~!

I have had a couple of bouts of nausea. just twinges really though. usually when I'm hungry or too full.
I know it's silly to worry and every pg is different I keep telling myself. and my real ms didn't kick in until right around 6-7 weeks last time.
not sure why I am anxious for it to begin :scratch :LOL (remind me of this PLEASE in a couple of weeks :LOL)
btw I had it HORRIBLE with ds (hyperemesis) and spent 2 months puking..I am prepared this time though and armed with anti nausea drugs just in case:wink

I had been feeling quesy at night. This morning/today I actually felt good at it makes me nervous. I had a miscarriage last year and a week or 2 before it started I remember feeling really good. I didn't know that the baby had probably stopped developing and my symptoms went away.
So now I would like to feel a little nauseous for my own peace of mind. :D

Not yet. And I admit to being worried as well. With both my girls I had nausea from three weeks on. I'm five weeks today and so far, nada... :( But I'm reminding myself that this is a different set of genetics too, and beyond that, perhaps the boy we've prayed for {though I know a girl would be spoiled beyond hope by her daddy five minutes post birth}

Yuck, Yuck, Yuck, I've been sick all week, and I'm getting tired of it. At first I thought I was just coming down with a cold or something, cuz it seems way too early for me. But its day 5 of blah, foggy head feeling, crazy smells and rolling stomach. I might as well face the facts, lets just hope that since its hit early, it will be done even sooner :) I don't remember it like this last time.
Although, in some ways its comforting to know things are changing. I have been a little worried, cuz my bb hurt so much, so quick with ds, and they're fine this go around. hmmm...
Hope the rest of you are still feeling great!

Hey April,
I'm glad you started this thread!! When you mentioned feeling sick only when too full (or empty), I got to thinking that lately too full is only 1/2-way through a meal. So today, I decided to eat really small portions (1 pc of toast for bkfst, etc) and I felt great all day!

ughh..I think I am starting to feel the morning sickness. :bag:
It started yesterday with what I call the "lump". (it feels like I have something stuck in my throat and I just want to gag) also my stomach feels like an empty pit. I woke up in the middle of the night nauseated, dripping with sweat and puked.

Would it be bad to say that my quesiness has gone away? Makes me nervous since I had a miscarriage, but I am trying to think positive. I still feel really tired/no energy. I haven't been sleeping well, lots of tossing and turning.

Vague queasyness once in a while, if i eat too much or too little, but if I didn't know I was pg, I wouldn't think anything of it.

I've been feeling extremely queasy since Wednesday all day long with some relief come evening. Most of the time I am repulsed by most food, but when I do manage to eat I feel better - at least for a little while. This weekend has been rough, so I have to say I'm a little nervous about work tommorrow.
I'm hoping it doesn't get worse, but since I'll only be six weeks tomorrow, I have a feeling it will.
It will all be worth it in August!!!!

I have started feeling a little nauseous, it is not too bad.
I hope it continues to be this way.

Just a little at this point...as a pp said, I have "the lump" in my throat, and the whole excess saliva thing. Sometimes I get a little queasiness, but nothing serious. I didn't start feeling nasty until 8 weeks with DD, so maybe I've got another week of grace!

I didn't have much MS with my first pregnancy - a few early mornings of nausea which were easily combatted with crackers eaten in bed. But this time, I'm already having a hard time cooking dinner for my family, an even harder time eating it, and then I lie in bed at night hoping to not see it again. So far so good, but it is getting worse as the days go by.

Last time I only has m/s when I was hungry, which took me a while to adjust to just how hungry I was.
this time, i'm more willing to eat a second lunch or whatever, but I seem to have a sour stomach for the entire afternoon. It always starts after a meal, and lasts pretty much the rest of the day... Maybe I'm eating too much?... hmmm.

Great thread!!
I've been worried a little too...not really anything except for one bout of queasiness when I overcooked my eggs. Strange how I want "symptoms" esp. after 2 m/c. Need some reassurance. Fatigue is the #1 symptom so far...!!!

Abylite - I'm the same. My first pg was a missed m/c, and I am sooo very paranoid now. I have now taken 10 home pg tests since Friday! :bag: I'm afraid I have an addiction to peeing on sticks.

Today morning sickness hit me for the first time. Well I woke up during the very early morning to pee and was horribly queasy/nauseaus. Then when I woke up with my son this morning I really was shaky, faint, and nauseus. I just ate two bowls of oatmeal in a row and that seemed to calm it down, then I made an egg for myself along with the scrambled eggs I make my son every morning, and after that plus some water/juice, I felt much much better. My stomach (2 hours later) is still ever so slightly lurch-y, but let's hope small and frequent meals will keep it at bay. I'm craving Sprite! Thank God they sell it in Finland!

I haven't had more than slight sickness here and there. It worries me too, but I remind myself that with each baby, I had less MS then the one before. Hope that's what this is about.

It's too early for to have it yet anyway, but I most certainly hope I do NOT experience it like I did last time.
I had hyperemesis when I was pregnant with dd. I was totally not expecting that in the slightest, and didn't even know that's what was going on until after she was born anyway. Most people didn't understand "really bad morning sickness that lasted all day and didn't end at the first trimester," so I'm kinda glad there's a fancy word for it :) I didn't like people acting like I was being dramatic when they'd ask when we were going to have another, and I'd be honest and tell them we'd have to wait until it was a better time for us to handle me being that sick again. I would have loved to have gotten pregnant 8 months ago, and be in my 3rd trimester as I finish my finally week of school (tomorrow is my very last day!!!!), but we just couldn't risk me getting that sick, because I couldn't have gone to school like that.

Me, I've definitely been feeling the sickness! Mostly in the morning, but it lasts usually until 3-4ish, which is nice :eyesroll . Part of me is happy to have it, ie, sign of a healthy baby, but part of me hates feeling so crummy so often especially with my son wanting so much attention recently.

I kept a journal w/DD's pregnancy and I felt nauseous off and on from about week 6 until almost week 12. I also (gasp) became completely uninterested in sweets after about the 7th week!
I have felt oogy sometimes with this pg, but it doesn't seem as bad (so far, anyway). I was also SUPER sleepy w/DD -- napped almost every day for a few weeks -- and haven't been as sleepy this time around (again, so far).
I'm trying to drink a lot of water to keep up the milk supply, and eat healthy (which is difficult in the winter unless you are a huge squash fan, lol). I just ate quite a few (aka too many) Hershey's Kisses...oops.
:)

Will I feel better? The nausea is getting overwhelming, I can barely function at times. I'm taking heart in the fact that it means I have a healthy embryo growing in me, but I would like a little relief if puking will provide it. What are your experiences?

Glamourfaust - I went that route today and it helped me feel better for a while and I was able to eat some lunch!!!!!
I've been feeling totally awful with morning sickness, called out from work again today. On top of the morning sickness I've had real trouble sleeping waking up in the early dawn hours, falling asleep for a few minutes and then waking up abruptly.
I'm flying home for Christmas tomorrow and am nervous about how I'll feel on the flight. Any tips on flying with morning sickness?

Well, now I officially "feel" pregnant since I am deep into morning sickness. I was beginning to worry, since I had MS the ENTIRE pregnancy. So, upchucking my breakfast is somehow a good thing!

Does anyone know if it is ok to sometimes have cramping along with the MS? :sick I've had some cramping and I'm approximately 9 weeks pregnant. The cramps feel similar and as strong as mentrual cramps. Should I be concerned? :help

I think it's perfectly normal to feel cramps as long as the aren't consistent. I feel crampy down low every now and again, but not regularly, not even every day.

Thanks AugustLia! My cramps just started about a week ago. They do come and go without warning. I"m glad to hear that someone else has had these feelings before. :Thanks

Oh boy! Am I ever feeling sick! I get about a two hour break from noon to 2pm daily, but otherwise I'm sick all day/night and I'm only 6.5 weeks along!
I can only eat very specific food and all other food makes me wanna hurl.... speaking of which I've vomited twice already. Dh had to make an emergency stop on the side of the road the other day so I could vomit out the car door.
My stomach cannot get empty or else I'm in big trouble - which is tricky seeing that I can't bear the thought of most foods. All it seems I can stomach are carbohydrates (breads, rice) and fatty foods... takeout is glorious. That's very odd, because when I'm not pg, that food grosses me out!
DS told his daddy yesterday that the baby in my belly should go to jail for making me so sick! Too cute!
Well, it's all for a good cause so I don't really mind.
Take good care,
lilgreen

Jennifer, I always felt better after puking. But, that's how I am when I'm sick too. If I feel nauseous, I don't fight it, I get it out! I always get better faster that way from things like tummy bugs. Once, dh and I were sick together (I think it was from bad food...yuck!) and I puked and he didn't. He felt terrible for almost 3 days and I was better in 24 hrs. Course....aren't men babies when they are sick ;)
With my first pregnancy I was incredibly nauseous and I found that if I just drank a big glass of warm water when I felt the nausea coming on, I could puke and get it over with. Then, I'd feel better for hours. Also, it kept me from dry heaving which just killed my insides and made me crampy.
So....I'd say....if you're feeling pukey...see if puking will help...if not...avoid it! I think everyone is different!!

Yes, I have had mild to medium nausea for a couple of weeks but just enough to remind me there is a little sprout growing inside me! I hope it stays like this, usually quelled with carbs that I don't normally eat which I'm sure will go straight to my hips!
With my first pregnancy, I was soooo sick! Vomiting from wk 8 all the way until the 3rd tri, then the nausea just hung out until I gave birth. This time around I've been dreading wk 8, b/c I'm afraid that's when it will start up again. Well, just yesterday, I've started to feel a little quesy. I think it's starting already. I'm hoping it's not too bad this time around. It's nice to have m/s, just so you know your pregnancy hormones are strong, but last time it was so bad, my DH kept telling me maybe we should just have one baby, b/c he felt so bad for me through my first pregnancy.

Hmmm, I wonder if it is the extra beta carotene that might help. I say that, b/c I notice the fruit you posted are all orange based. I guess it is worth a try!

"I have now taken 10 home pg tests since Friday! I'm afraid I have an addiction to peeing on sticks."
That is so funny, I think I may have the same problem. Maybe we should have a support group for stick-pee-ers. With this new pregnancy, I started testing too soon and got a very faint positive, almost an evaporation line. I took a few more and they kept getting more and more positive. My husband, still in shock, wanted me to take another one. I finally had to stop and say "How many sticks do I need to pee on before you realize we're pregnant! Hey, this is number 5, not like we are new at this or something! :)
