I was diagnosed with type II diabetes today

I have been monitoring my sugar levels this week because I felt that they were high. I had gest. diabetes with #1 and #3. Apparently, it never went away after #3 (I had suspected all along but docs would not prescribe the test strips) My sugar levels have been VERY high all week. Thank GOD that I was able to get my friends test kit and it has been caught and I will start gluburide tonight.

I'm scared for my baby, having my sugars so high during this critical development period. I feel miserable...dizzy, fuzzy headed and tired.

Just wanted to send you a hug. Diabetes can be a real pain to live with. I hope everything levels out quickly.

Thanks for the hugs, I need them. I'm having a really hard time here, and it's hard to explain to people why this pregnancy is so stressful for me at this time.

I'm feeling better on the glyburide, and hopefully after a few days, I'll be at a normal glucose level. :thumb

How are you feeling? Will you have to take insulin shots? I feel for you!! I've had to self inject meds for the IVF and I had NEVER done that before. It gave me a whole new appreciation for folks who have to do that on a daily basis.
