I just thought it would be fun to see what your FIRST intuition is. And maybe we can look back on it when we have our babies.

With my 1st pregnancy, my first though was girl, my DH too! We were right.

Well this is #2 and I asked DH what he thought we would have, he said BOY. That is what I thought/felt too! So tonight he called my MIL and she was excited we are pregnant and she said "it will all be fine and you will have a very stubborn BOY!" So that is 3 votes.

Anyone else feel they know?

Last time I knew I was having a girl from the start and it ended up to be true. This time I'm convinced it is a boy. I'll be happy either way.

I really have no idea. DH thinks it will be a boy though, so we'll see.
we have no preference at this point either :love

I can't help but think girl, though I'm not convinced that it's because it is a girl. It feels like it's only because I would love a little girl. I honestly don't care either way as long as the baby is happy and healthy.

With pg#1, we both felt that the baby would be a girl, and were right. This time, DH thinks it is a girl, and though I once refered to it as she, I think this time we'll have a boy. We won't know for sure until he or she is born, since neither of us wants to know for sure when we have an ultrasound later.

I'd guess boy and so would DH...felt lots of male energy around with 2nd preg (altho ended in m/c....the fetal tissue was "tested" and it was a boy...) I'm thinking and hoping he is coming back to stay. Either way, boy or girl, we would be thrilled.

Not sure if we want to "find" out yet... :)

My DH says it's too early. Last time he was so convinced we were having a girl, he actually told me to stop wasting my time thinking of boys names. Boy, were we shocked when the u/s tech told us, "looks like a boy!" We were like, "what, can you check again?" She checked again and said, "I'm 99% sure it's a boy." It was good I found out ahead of time, b/c I got used to the idea of having a boy. I don't know how I would have reacted if we did not find out and I found out when he was born. I would have loved him anyway, but when you get used to an idea, sometimes it's hard to think differently.

For me this time, I have no clue. Even with my last pregnancy, I never had a good baby dream (I had one nightmare though, luckily it did not come true). Honestly, I would LOOOOVE to have a girl, I always wanted a little sister and never had one (had two brothers instead). On the otherhand, since I have a boy now, I think that a boy would be nice too, b/c I am used to the rough and tumble, we have a ton of boy clothes and they could become good friends, since they will be less than 2 yrs apart.

I'm thinking girl.

With Lindsey, I was 100% positive.. with Josh I waffled, through the whole pregnancy and then guessed girl, but wasn't entirely sure. This one I've been thinking of as a girl, but we've also decided to find out the gender this time (never have before)

I have no idea! But, I'll guess boys just because that's all I've carried thus far ;)

My boys say a boy and a girl, because they think IPs need one of each.

My IPs say two girls, because IF dreamed shortly after transfer of two girls an a boy fighting about who would go first. They decided the two girls should come first and the boy second. (Prior to getting pregnant, we'd already agreed that if everything went well and it was medically okay, that we'd do another surrogacy for them. So IF took the dream to mean that they'd get twin girls and then a little boy.)

We were both sure our first was a boy, and EVERYONE told me I was having a boy. But we had a girl!

This time I am feeling like it's a boy...but since I was wrong last time, who knows. Lol.

I also did one of those thread-and-needle old-wives'-tale things where you put the needle over your palm and see what it does. I did it about 7 times and it would always say boy-girl-boy or boy-girl-boygirl (it wouldn't stop swinging between the last boy and girl - which means twins.)

I had an m/c before Sascha so I figure that means the angelbaby was a boy, then Sascha, and now I'm either having a boy or boy-girl twins. Lol.

I am usually not one to go in for that sort of thing, but it was fun to do. :)

I really don't know. I feel like I am queasier with this one, which I assume means the opposite gender from last time, but who knows?

Here's a cute story: pregnant with my daughter, I was CONVINCED it was a boy. I really really thought it was a boy, so did DH, everyone who looked at me said I was having a boy -- except two people. My dad kept saying he had a sense it was a girl, and DH's grandmother said it definitely was a girl.

After DD was born, I asked DH's grandmother how she had known. She said, "Well, when a woman is pregnant with a boy, she just glows. A boy makes a mother look just beautiful!" I said "oh..." and then I realized what she was really saying, and I said, "So, I didn't do that? I wasn't glowing?" Grandma looked sad for a minute, and then looked me straight in the eye and said, "No, not really sweetheart."

Grandma was a wonderful, wonderful, loving woman who always complimented me and coddled me like I was her own grandchild, so I wasn't hurt by this. She died last winter, making it long enough to hear her great-granddaughter sing her first song and give her spontaneous hugs. At her gravestone unveiling this fall, we were each asked to tell a funny story about her -- I told the story of her predicting the gender of my daughter.

Hmmm... I was right with both of my DC. I knew the first was a boy and he sure was!! LOL!! And we were positive that #2 was a girl and she was!! ;) I think this one might be a boy but I am not positive yet. :D

Well #1 was a girl, but I thought boy (although know when I look back, it was obviously a girl, it was my first, I didn't know better). My second was a boy, we all knew! And I'm pretty sure #3 is a GIRL. The symptoms so far are very similar to #1. So I guess we'll see.

DH and I both think it is a girl, and my mom does too! We'd love a girl but we'll love whatever we get of course! We will be surprised too!

DH says boy. He was right with DD so we will go with what he says. :)

Me, I am hoping for a boy, but would be just as happy with a girl. :)

I have no idea but dd insists its a girl.

I asked her today, "If the baby is a boy you will still like him, right?" She said 'no' and was adament that its a girl.

The Chinese gender chart predicts a girl as well.

I think it is a boy and had a dream that it was a boy. I've always thought that I would have a boy first and then not sure about the second child.
DH isn't sure.

With DS we both felt strongly it was a boy. This time we both believe it will be a girl. I have had girl vibes from the get go. Also, last time I had definite m/s and this time none so that's another vote for the opposite sex.

We are really not sure. Based on when we bd'd, I'd say girl (unintentional shettles method), but based on the chinese calendar, we are having a boy. The Chinese gender calendar has been right with our first two, so who knows. It's still early, but I hope I start to feel more gender vibes :)

I think that I am having a boy. DH thinks that as well. Both my mom ( who knew I was having a girl last time) and MIL think I'm having a boy. I really don't care either way, DH and I will have one more child after this one anyway. But, on the other hand it would be nice to have a girl since we have saved all of DD's clothes. :shy

Also I'm getting more hair on my legs and belly, which I have heard is a sign of a boy. Does anyone else think this added testosterone ie: hair growth is a sign of a boy? Anyone found it to be true??

*****Hey Amara's mom- what is the chinese birth predictor? could you please tell me more about this! Thanks

This is our first pregnancy, and in the few weeks between conception and when I knew I was "in the family way," DH and I both incessantly joked about me being pregnant, although I wasn't having any symptoms yet.

Now, we are both joking incessantly about having b/g twins, although there are no twins in our families. The other chiropractor we work with also teases about twins. I did have a dream about having twins before the jokes began. Unfortunately in my dream I rolled over onto the boy (who was quite small actually, about 4 inches long I think - crazy dream), and I lost him in the covers of my bed and couldn't find him anymore. We'll hope none of that actually happens. Just having twins right off the bat is scary enough. :twins: :help

I have a feeling that it will be a girl. Carring much differently than with my boy--waaay lower and making me pee! Also, morning sickness is different. Last time everyone said I was having a girl, they were all wrong, so who knows...

Hey everyone! Check out this sex prediction test that uses all the old wives tales! It is fun and you don't have to answer every question--just the ones that apply. It kind of blows many of the wives tales out of the water as last time it said that I had a 66% chance of having a girl!

Well my first I knew was a boy and I was right. The Chinese gender predicition said girl so I don't trust it.

This time I have a feeling it's a girl. I did the test on the link in the pp's post and it says girl too. I'm hoping I'm wrong and it's a boy :bag:

Hello all!

I would like some :help . I've read that some of you ladies have tested the Chinese Gender Prediction Chart. What is this? Where can I find it? I'm interested in checking it out. The old midwives test says that I have a 45% of having a boy, and 55% of having a girl. We'll see. I think boy. . . :shrug

I don't have a link off-hand but you could just do a GIS for Chinese gender predicition chart. I know it is out there in a bunch of places.

Well, with ds's pregnancy, I had no clue. In my dreams I would see one of those pixelated boxes over the genitals so my dreams were no help either! Co-workers, friends, family were about 50/50 on boy/girl.

With this pregnancy, dh is INSISTING it's a girl. I have 2 dreams w/the pixelated box again, but had one dream w/a gender and it was a girl. A big fat 8lb 6 oz little girl. (Ds was 6lb 4oz, so 8lbs would seem huge!) The dream was interesting, I gave birth twice, the first time w/lots of interventions, ending in a c-section and stillbirth. I woke up crying and shaking, it was horrible. I fell back to sleep a couple of hours later and had an intense, but intervention free birth with this beautiful baby girl at the end. So if nothing else, this dream has reinforced my resolve to have an intervention-free birth.

Oh - Chinese gender chart was right on last time. And this time I don't really care as long as the baby is happy and healthy. We're planning on 4-6 kids, so there's plenty of time for both sexes!

I had no nasuea at all with the girls but did with DS.,just like this one.The conception was the same as i had a really long cycle when i got preg. just like I did with DS.I have been able to tell what all of my kids were including my last one who was shy with the ultrasound. So we shall she if i am right
