View Full Version : Impacted Tooth! When Will It End?

Now I have an impacted wisdom tooth that has limited my ability to open my mouth. I am terrified of going to the dentist because I can just hear the words "root canal" and "extraction" in my ears.. both of which mean heavy duty meds. I have NOT prayed, cried, stressed and risked my own life and livlihood for this miracle just to loose him/her to a rotten tooth...
Any thoughts or ideas?

You poor thing. I know all about tooth problems (my story is way too long to tell) and so can really sympathize. My only suggestion is to find a dentist/dental surgeon who you can really talk to about your fears and your pregnancy. Most of them are actually really nice people who would not do anything that would put a fetus at risk. They are very knowledgable about their profession and so maybe there are other options they can explore with you.
Hang in there!

THanks. Most of the swelling has gone down and I'm able to open my mouth slightly more. ANd I can eat. Not big bites or anything, but it's better than the liquids only thing by far. Now if only the over-production of saliva would end I'd be thrilled...
