I don't remember seeing this one when I read this thread, but I've seen it used a few times recently - took me a little while to figure it out:

hh9 or H&H9 = healthy and happy nine months (As in, if only every BFP lead to H&H9, or what, other than congrats, to say to someone with a BFP)

Did I get that right?

AdinaL

Crunchyandsweet
12-26-2006, 12:47 PM
ok, that is killin' me too..what IS FROSTED??????

BelgianSheepDog
12-29-2006, 02:06 AM
Frosted is a meme that has been going around via private message.

My question, does "ONE" stand for something? If not, what is the meaning of "the ONE thread"? I'm bad at picking up innuendo. :p Also, does "onnee" mean something different but related? I've seen it in sigs.

dctexan
12-29-2006, 12:01 PM
The ONE in the One Thread is a Lord of the Rings reference (i.e. "one ring to rule them all"...for the One Thread, one thread to rule them all). Basically it implies that everyone (regardelss of where they are TTC) is welcome on the One thread (as opposed to threads on other boards that that different threads for women at different points in their cycle). There is a post that provides more details about it HERE (http://www.mothering.com/discussions/showthread.php?t=158284)

As for onnee? I have no idea!

AdinaL
01-03-2007, 02:52 PM
Yep - the one thread popped up after several of us long timers had been getting annoyed by the Pre-O and post O threads, since we couldn't keep track of who was on which thread and how they were doing...:lol So alexisyael came up with the One Thread - right about the time the move came out :lol That tells you how long ago that was. :D

LMP = last menstrual period

Frosted/toasted is like a chain email that you receive by private message (PM). You're supposed to PM it a certain number of other people on MDC and put something about it in your sig. I don't really get it but whatever.

i just can't figure it out...

Meekola
08-07-2008, 08:00 PM
I wasn't sure what a chemical pg was either so I found this:
What is a Chemical Pregnancy?

A chemical pregnancy occurs when a fertilized egg does not implant into the uterine wall. If a pregnancy test is taken just at the right time it will be positive, however, when a repeat test is taken several days later it will be negative.

My question is what is PPAF?

chemical pregnancy? does that really happen?

Cuz with my second, when he was 4 months old, my period still hadn't come back but I was nursing all the time, but I was queasy one week so I decided to test myself and there was a very little hint of a positive.

Well I freaked a little and I told my husband and we freaked a little more, cuz it was way too soon, a 3 year old a 4 month old and preggers again??? And we were careful and everything.

so we calmed down and I tested again the next day and it was negative,... I figured I just tested wrong, or contaminated the stick or something.

so it was a chemical pregnancy???
