hi - I'm new here - noticed a bunch of you talking around Mother's Day from the boards and was wondering if you are still around? am looking for families like ours in the south florida area as all my friends think I'm nuts! but that's another issue, maybe. :) Just wondering ...

Hey natural Mami,
I'm on the beach and am probably considered to be as nutty as you. I'm the mother of a 21/2 year old, who rules our house. Did cloth diapers, attachment parenting, etc. Am always looking for my tribe, so lets talk.

We are also "on the beach" - in the Aventura area. Are you in Miami Beach? Would love to get together and chat. We also have a 2 1/2 year old (Jan birthday) and a 4 year old, both boys. Have a girl due in November too. Didn't do cloth diapers before for convenience sake, but am strongly researching it now so could use your guidance there.

We are careful about not eating hydrogenated oils and go for organic veggies, fruits, milk, etc. No artificial colors or sweetners or nitrates, yadda yadda. Makes us FUN at birthday parties, boy! But oh well. Have gotten more and more into it as time has gone on and are quite happy with our decisions in raising our family in a healthy environment all the way around.

Also do attachment parenting, actually just recently learned that name. Family Bed.

Hey Natural Mami,
Sorry it has taken me so long to get back with you. I started graduate school,(I have comletely lost my mind) my 21/2 year also started school, and we're in the middle of buying a house.
If I ever needed a reason for a nervous collapse, I just found three!!! Yes we are on Miami beach around the 30's and are now buying a house on 46th and Alton. So we'll still be close.
Soundz like we have lots to chat about. When I finally setttle into my newly expanded role of SUPERMOM, perhaps we can have a real live chat. You're in Aventura, which has far more things offered for the little ones, than where I am.
I'm actually schlepping my daughter to school way down south by the Sunset shops, and keeping my fingers crossed that there will be a Waldorf school in the vicinity by the time she reaches school age. You have two children right? Are they in any school program yet? Would love to hear from you.

I went to Highland oaks middle andNorth Miami Beach Senior.
I live in Daytona now.

Hey there. Just checking in on the FLorida area. I am way south of you- in the Keys. My 6 yo goes to a Montessori and my 2 year old stays with me.

We shop in South Miami and my sister lived between Aventura and North Miami Bch so I used to get up that way quite a bit.
