Hi everyone! I have been lurking here for a few days now wondering if I should officially say hello, and I think I am ready. I found out about this little bean last week (did three tests, all about 2 or 3 days apart: first neg, second so faintly pos I thought I was seeing things! and the third definately positive!). I have actually already seen my midwife, and so far so good . . . except for yesterday. I had some light pink spotting in the mid-afternoon and was terrified. I put my feet up and dh totally took over, and so far no more spotting. I still have my pg symptoms (sore, bigger boobs, heightened gag reflex, etc.), and am hoping the spotting was just from having been intimate with dh the night before. Anyway, my mw's clinic opens in a few minutes, so I will be calling them, but I am just looking for some support and prayers to get me through. I had wished my first hello would be a much more positive one, but nevertheless, I need to be part of this community now -- you guys all seem so wonderful. Thanks in advance.

I don't have any personal experience with spotting during pregnancy, but from what I hear it can be quite normal. I not one for "prayer" but I do hope that everything is okay and this pregnancy sticks. :hug

I spotted every time I moved during my first pg, and my ds is now a week shy of 19 mos. Don't let a few spots worry you too much. It's basically because you've got so much more blood down there now, and it all wants to go somewhere.

Of course, look who's talking. The spots freaked me out the first time around -- I'd spot if I went for a walk through the mall! My doctor told me not to worry, but of course, I didn't believe him. And pregnancy is all about being worried, all the time.

Thank you all so much for your reassurances and good vibes! I haven't spotted since and so hopefully this baby is a 'sticky' one -- I have had a feeling since the beginning that this one is going to make it, but of course I don't want to jinx it. Anyway, thanks again! And congratulations to all of you on your pregnancies!

Aww mama. :Hug Spotting is scary!! I had it on and off with Connor until about 20 weeks. Turns out I had a problem with part of my placenta not quite attatching to the wall of my uterus, so I had a bleed. I know some don't like dopplers, but it was the only thing that kept me sane until it started to heel and stopped bleeding. I was on light duty until then.

Take it easy, try not to stress although I know it's hard, and take care of yourself!!

HI Mommabear,

Hopefully there's no more spotting, I had dd 12/01 and had a mc 04/03, and am expecting Sept/05. I'm also hoping this one sticks. I'm also in the lower mainland!

Wishing you all the stickiness you need!

Welcome and definitely you have my prayers!

Spotting can be VERY normal in pregnancy, especially after intimacy. :hug

I totally understand the fear that mixes in with excitement when you have a history of losses. :hug

Thank you all soooo much! I have been offline for a few days now and it was so nice to see all of the replies and baby stickies that I have gotten! Thank you all! Fortunately this little one is still here (and making it's presence in my body known more and more everyday! I am sooo tired!) Thanks again!
