I've noticed little breast buds on my 8 1/2 yr old. And she is complaining that her boobies are sore. What is happening? This is too soon!!:( :( :confused: :confused:

Now she is asking about bras and stuff. I bought her some sports type tank tops to wear so her budding beauties don't show thru her shirts, but don't you guys think this is a little too young?

I need some input please.

I remember that I was about 9 when I noticed those little bubble things under my nipples. My grandparents were having an anniversary dinner and my Mother announced it to all. :rolleyes: That's how and why I remember. So, no, I don't think it's too soon, although.... it's a hard mental adjustment to make, isn't it, mama?

Does your dd drink cow's milk, eat meat or eat dairy products? It's been shown that the hormones in meat/dairy contribute to getting breasts and periods earlier. I've read that too much soy can cause this also, thought I haven't read too much about that...

That is a very good point AmandasMom. My daughter has an allergy to dairy, but before we dicovered the allergy, we switched to organic dairy products for this very reason. For more info, you can do a search on "Milk Premature Puberty".

if she is in public school, i recommend you speak to her. PE can be a weird experience if you are the only "early bloomer"
