Surely I'm not the only paranoid one out there. :LOL what are yours?
with all 3 (twins, noah and this) I've been horribly worried it was ectopic. NO logical reason (no risk factors). I get pain on one side each time because I get a luteal cyst and horrible sewer-gas :bag: , but my paranoia always immediately says "ectopic!!!" There IS such a thing as knowing too much. :eyesroll
The other paranoia I have (less crazy) is of loss. I end up spending a TON on pregnancy tests to confirm what the morning sickness is already telling me. :eyesroll

Yeah, I have the same 2 worries. Now I came up with a new one - I don't feel pg at all. I didn't have any morning sickness with ds, so that is not unusual, but today I have had no stretching uterus feelings. So anyway, now I worry that the baby died and when I go to my 1st appt in a month they will tell me it stopped growing. If I would just have symptoms I would be more confident.

Up until a few days ago, I had the same paranoia about not being pg. I could imagine shame-facedly posting the "Oops, but not pregnant" thread. I don't get morning sickness and have very mild symptoms that someone might easily dismiss. And those pg tests always show up so faint, I thought I might be seeing things! But with the bulge in my belly, I am so sure. I also get paranoid a lot after baby is born. I imagine ds being kidnapped or lost or something terrible.

Yeah, me too. The nausea hit hard last week, but it's gone away. I'm also not craving the meat/protein like I was last week. So everything that had me believing last week is gone now, so I'm worried. Plus I've been getting abdominal pain every once in awhile and that is making me paranoid.

my big paranoia this time is twins. i am obsessing big time that i am having twins! but i think perhaps this is masking my real fear of loss since i have had two miscarriages before this pregnancy. i keep telling myself that i have a 75% chance of having a healthy baby and those are still pretty good odds. my symptoms are quite strong this time already and i got a good beta # so i feel ok but i wont stop worrying until i get to about 13 weeks and then i will just worry about something else i guess. :thumb

Holly, well, what are your risk factors for twins? if you do, it's scary, but they're SO fun. So worth it!
They got the better of me today (take the advice on another thread, stop peeing on sticks) and I was soo stressed out all day and ended up a sobbing, slobbery, snotty mess tonight. um, pregnancy emotions anyone? I have NO signs of loss OR ectopic, but am stll so paranoid about it. :(

hmm, risk factors are: i am 39 so in the age bracket where it is more likely, this is my 4th pregnancy so more pregnancies, they are in my family and i have had two dreams that i am having twins!! but i think possibly those dreams could really be about the two babies i have lost. my hcg level of 4970 at 20 dpo means there is a possibility i think that the numbers are high enuf. i have some morning sickness but not tons. i am cranky enuf to be having twins :eyesroll
i did another quantative beta today and my midwife says i can go for an ultrasound next week if i want but honestly i am too afraid of scrambling the little things brains!! another paranoid worry!!

wow, well, you are at risk!
if you need twin advice, I'm happy to do so, IF you need.
girls can also have high betas, so I wouldn't worry about it for that ONLY.

I was just paranoid because I didn't feel pregnant at all...and then yesterday I felt my cervix and it felt open. But today I puked and had major morning sickness, so I guess all's well...maybe the cervix just doesn't close all the way because a year ago, a big head was going through it...LOL!!
About betas...with Brandon, my betas were almost 1 1/2 times as high as they needed to be to indicate twins, but he was always the only baby in there...there was never a hidden twin or anything. Just one very hormonal little boy... :LOL

ally, it doesn't close all the way after baby! no worries! if it was "open" as in loss, it would be low, very soft and wide open with bleeding.

I have specific fears related to the loss of my first baby and fatal abnormalities. Of course, I had no symptoms with my first pregnancy, I had none with ds and I have none now. I'm hoping to have a twelve week u/s (I know some people are against them, but I need the reassurance) to make sure that everything looks okay. I did that with ds and it eased my mind a bit, but I ended up having crazy dreams of losses that I never experienced. Hopefully this pregnancy will be a little easier.

:hug I hope it goes perfectly and gives you peace! We'll likely have at least 1 u/s (um, for us, that's a LOT less) with this one for the same reason (peace of mind).
