Ok, last time, I went all out and told everyone at Christmas about our baby. I made up these little cards for the grandparents-to-be. On the front they said simply LOOK and on the inside, I put a little mirror and put the words "Who is going to be a GRANDMA!" It was such a good way and they still talk about it!

Now, I know this time, everything isn't AS exciting and new (which makes me sad, BTW), but I want to try to make it as special. So, I want to come up with a good way. Calling everyone on the phone isn't really the way I want to go, and one problem is that my dad is in Florida and everyone else is local. I was thinking of sending something and marking it Do Not Open Until some date to make sure they all got it at the same time, or maybe doing something on my website. Am I crazy to try to make this a big deal? Any ideas?

My friend sent letters to all her family to be opened at a certain time. Then she turned off her phone and let them all call each other. It was pretty cute.

Dh made ds a shirt that said, "I'm going to be a big brother". It took some people a few minutes to catch on, but it was really cute.

Last time the timing was good and we told everyone on Mother's day, so my dh wrote in his Mother's card "Are you ready for #10?" (tenth grandchild) she had to read it about 4 times before she got it. It was great.

The t-shirt thing is a great idea!

I'm not sure how we'll do it this time.

We told my parents through a t-shirt we made my dad that said "Papa's Top Ten" and had a list of his 9 grandchildren's names underneath and "Coming in September 2005" at the bottom.

We told the rest of my family yesterday at a family birthday party ... my kids wore big sibling shirts and it took a while for people to notice, then to get it, but it was fun. Some of them thought it was a joke!

We're sending four-windowed picture frames to my in-laws who live out of state. There will be a pic of each of my 3 children in the windows with "Coming in September 2005" in the fourth window...then I'll be waiting for the phone calls!

I was thinking of the t-shirt idea too. Just putting it on him when we're with both of our moms and seeing how long it takes them to notice! :LOL
