How is everyone? We need to get together again. I went to the West area API meeting last week and met more moms. It's so nice to meet supportive women in real life. I am looking forward to the next central API meeting.
P.S. I have a post in the breastfeeding support and advocacy board regarding a visit to PF Changs last weekend - :D

Hi Carolyn,

It seems as though there are a few of us here in this big city and rather branched out. The Central API meeting might be the best place for all of us to meet. Afterwards we could do lunch but I think next time we should try Katz's deli or somewhere other than 59Diner. I think the next meeting is next Thursday but I will double check.

The Central meeting is at a birthing center (old house) at 59 and Shepard, very close to 59 and pretty easy to get to.

Carolyn, my dd is 16 months, and she does walk (and run!), but she's very friendly and non-aggressive. Let me know if you'd be interested in getting together! We're on the side of Missouri City closest to Pearland, near Sienna Plantations.

Incidently, I would've gone to the West API meeting, but they're always during the day on Friday, and I work. Weekends, anyone?

Hello! I finally found another group forum that is here in Houston and interested in the same things I am! I think maybe some of you know me, I have gone to the central API meetings off and on..I am Jennifer Hardy, with 18 month old son Samuel. I also talk on the Yahoo Groups API Houston forum.
Anyway, I am definetly interested in getting into some playgroups!! Samuel doesn't get to play with other kids hardly ever! I want him to start learning how to socialize early, so he won't be like I was growing up..a wall flower! So please contact me. Thanks..Jen

Hi Houston moms! My sis lives in Spring (near the Woodlands) and needs an honest or at least decent attorney to fight a custody battle. She has an attorney right now that is not worth a darn and she is so frustrated with him that she's asked him to give her a refund.

I appreciate any info you can lend that will help her find a decent attorney! BTW, I don't live in Houston but I grw up there. Thanks for your help! :hug

I used to work with an attorney named Lee Crawley who is with the Fitzgerald Law Firm in the Woodlands (281) 362-9700. His office is located off of Woodlands Parkway and Timberloch. He does practice family law. Not knowing what the custody battle is about, I don't know if would do that kind of work but it is worth a shot. Also, let him know that I (Kimberly Lewis) gave you his name. In giving my name, please do not think that I receive any type of referral money because I don't. He might be more willing to take the case I he knew who sent her. Good Luck.
