We're not finding out the baby's sex so need 1 boy name and 1 girl name.
Last time, our runner-up name for dd was Clara and our runner-up for ds was James, but now I'm not so sure whether we will use these or not.
Please help! :)

Well, you know how I feel about Clara ;) but I also like Annika a lot. I like names that are not easily nick-nameable (unless you really like the nickname). So that counts out 3 out of your 4 boy names for me unless you're going to insist on no nicknames. I like James, but not Jim, Philip, but not Phil, William, but not Billy or Bill (Will is OK, I like Liam better because a) I'm an Anglophile and b) it's more unusual).
Other classic names I like:
Alice (my sister's name, and I think it's so pretty)
Beatrice
Cora
Gemma
Lydia
Meredith
Granger
Holden
Porter

Me again :innocent
I saw Robert too... That is my dads name and I love just :love that his mom and his grandma call him Bobbie! I think it is so cute. I also went to high school with a Robert and we called him Rob and I like that too...

I voted for Neil and Annika. I love Neil since it's classic but not too common.
I also like Audrey, Julia, Charity (great-grandma's name), Olivia, Josephine (Josie), and Emma (but Emma is #1 in popularity right now so I wouldn't pick that!)
For a boy I like James too but I must say I'm sold on Charles ;) since that will be my baby's first name (but we're going to call him Grey since his Grandpa goes by Charles)

My girls are named Natalie and Michaela. We also thought of Sophia, Anne, Ella, Gabriela
if they were boys, it would have been Miles, Kyle or jason

I voted James, because it's my ds' middle name and I just LOVE how it sounds. And Clara, because it sounds so classy and old fashioned. I just can't see a "Clara" being a hell-raiser. She sounds more like an artist...

My dd's name is Sophie Claire. I liked both Sophia and Clara on your poll but chose Sophia.
For the boys name I picked William. I just love that for a boy.

I am terrible with boy's names, but I love classic girl names! We named our daughter Eliza as a classic, with a slightly more modern feel. I also love Clara and Stella. Beautiful!

I picked Philip and Frances. I like classic names too, but only if they're not too common. I don't want to pick a name that everyone has, but I also don't want one that no one in the world has ever heard of. I also steer away from names that have common nick names, which is why I didn't choose "Jim" or "Bill" (To me Phil isn't so bad). KWIM?
I have a friend with a daughter named Auden. I thought that sounded classic without being too far afield. I think boys names are harder. I can't think of a really great one.
I think I know the names I want, but I'm strangely superstitious about telling them in advance. I was the same way with #1 too.

You ladies are soooo good. :) I like these other names tooo....
Audrey (thanks Paniscus!) & Aubrey (crayon) is gorgeous too
Julia - beautiful! (thanks MotherofEden!)
Controlfreak - Oh Eliza is so pretty!
Goepark - I think we're the only once who love Frances. :) I think this name is so pretty but the nickname thing has me worried, e.g., Fanny :eek

:thumb My 5 year old dd's name is Annika. My husband is Norwegian, one reason for choosing the name. I also love the name Ani(as in Defranco, of course), so we call her Ani for short.
I like James for a boy, but it would have to JAMES, not Jim, Jimmy, etc.

Peri, I PROMISE I have no ulterior motives in saying this, but I just saw mazajo's post and I think Lucy would be so pretty with your last name and would also go well with the twins' names! (Unless you don't want two female Ls.)

I love it too.
Evelyn is pretty. What does everyone think of nicknames... Eve, Evie etc?
Cr*p. I'm so NOT a nickname person. WEll ok, I love Jim but that's it!

I like Ted better than Ned, myself...Teddy is a very cute nickname for a boy (although I'm not generally a nickname person).
Theodore and Thaddeus are also both great classic boys' names - Tad is a cute nickname for Thaddeus. Perhaps a bit more elaborate than your other kids' names, though.
Darnit! on Lucy - I think it sounds really good! Maybe you should get a new boss. :)
