My MW says that my pelvis has separated. It hurts. It is getting worse. Any suggestions? Can a chiropractor help?

Wow. Thanks for the link.
That article could have been describing me, too!
Except that my trouble is in the back of my pelvis, the SI joints, where the spine meets the pelvis. Constant aching pain, and shocking pain whenever I walk- that exact description, "like bones grinding together" that they use. But for me it's in the back, not the front. And I would add "splintered bone," not just regular bone!

My pain started by about week 9, though, and has been getting steadily worse since then. I'm at 18 weeks now.
I've been seeing a chiropractor and a physical therapist, both weekly, for about two months, and each visit with them gives me a 5-10% improvement, for a day or two. :(

This all changed yesterday, when I went to my friendly neighborhood acupuncturist. I don't know what took me so long!!! I spent about an hour with her, and even as I started the process of getting up (usually slow, careful, and excruciating) I could tell that something was very different. I cannot believe how much better I feel! I still feel a little fragile, but the dull ache is almost completely gone, and I can walk normally again, without the lightening bolts of pain that used to make me feel close to fainting. I used to go to this woman for this, but somehow had forgotten how much she helps. I feel like I've had a religious experience! Everywhere I go today, people tell me I look like I have some color in my face for the first time in months! :banana

I tried to get some acupuncture when I had this problem with my first, but the guy I went to wasn't comfortable working on a pregnant woman. I was so hopeless, it didn't occur to me to seek out someone else! Turns out, acupuncturists can study on many different paths, learning many different techniques, and specializing in some areas but not others.

So, obviously, I recommend acupuncture very highly, and if the first person you find isn't a good match, KEEP LOOKING :D

Good luck. Pain is a pain. :crying

Sleep with a pillow between your knees! It's always slightly better the next day after I do this. It doesn't totally relieve it, though.
