Well, I've officially joined the homeschooling group! And pg as well! We live in Germany right now, but are moving in Feb. Anyone out there from Killeen TX area???

We're homeschooling a 3rd grader...

Well I don't live in TX now but I used to live in Denton (40 miles N. of Dallas) Is that anywhere near you? The more I here about the home school environment and oppritunities n TX the more I want to move home:) .

I don't know many towns in TX yet cause I move there in Feb 2002, but I know Kileen is dead center...miles from any border anywahere! Hours and hours from another state...Not something I'm used to. We would love to know anyone in the area homeschooling, just hoped it'd be from here first.

Do you know anything about birth options in TX? good? bad? real ugly? DH said he'd go along with homebirth for this one...

I'm an hour 1/2 or so from kileen. The homeschool laws in texas work really well....there aren't any really. We are counted as private schoolers. here are some good sites to check out...

as far as midwives...I know that there are a couple in coppras cove (by kileen) and several in waco. My midwife (near austin) still does a few delivories in that area too.
