Thanks to a little help from LaLa, my first attempts to make bendy dolls a la flower pixies have hair! It was easier than I thought.
Here is an album link (http://share.shutterfly.com/osi.jsp?i=EegOXLJy3bN3_w¬ag=1) for pictures. The first picture is a group of three, my daughter made the first pixie, the middle pixie is my first, and the last doll is my second pixie. The second picture in the album is a closer look at the yellow flower pixie to show she is a daffodil. :D
These little dolls are so addictive! I have a zillion more ideas on how to make them, including fairies and boys with felt clothes. I am waiting for the Wee Felt Folk book I requested to arrive at my branch library, I know it will really inspire me further (and give me some technical help too).
I also wanted to show the felt breakfast and snack sets I made for my nephew. My sister told me how he wanted to make her fried eggs with his play kitchen, but only had whole wooden eggs to use in the skillet and they would just roll around the pan. So I had to make him some fried eggs and then some bacon, pancakes .....take a look, you will see! I have wool felt now to make more food, these were made with the acrylic felt I had on hand.
Thanks for looking! :shy
