Healing Heart is an Australian group for women who are survivors of sexual assault. It is a group for women, run by women. It is a safe place to talk about the issues associated with sexual assault. There are no professionals here, it is simply a group of survivors supporting each other with love, and the genuine understanding that all of us deserve. No matter what stage you may find yourself at, all are welcome. This is not just a place for the initial crisis stage following sexual assault, it is open to all, no matter how long ago the sexual assault took place.

Thanks for posting this Janet. It sounds like an important space for women living in the aftermath of assault. There have certainly been times in my own life where such a group would have been a life-line. I'm eternally grateful that I eventually found an incredibly empathic, available and skillful counsellor who brought me through the overwhelming crisis of sexual assault. I would never have thought that things could change and heal as much as they have. I hope the group you've listed can provide healing support for any woman who needs it.
