my vivid dreams with dd didn't start until much later, but I didn't know I was pg until much later. I did find that my dreams were very predictive....Idreamed through the first trimester I was having a girl and I did.

Last night I had a sudden image in my sleep of two tiny pink fetuses right next to each other. Now, I have no twins in my family, but I DID use clomid to help me get pregnant which has up to a 30% chance of multiples....crazy,huh? We'll see.

Anyone else have any dreams about their baby yet?

ps.....I'd love to have 3 kids, but can you imagine attachment parenting a 3 year old AND infant twins...ugh, I'd NEVER get any sleep!

I've only had one "pregnancy" dream so far, and it was a day or two after I found out I was pregnant. I just dreamed that I was in the shower, and I was just soaping up and looking down at myself and thinking, "I'm pregnant!" Not very profound!! :LOL

A few days before I found out for sure, I had a vivid dream about breastfeeding all 4 of the babies in my childcare. My dd had a dream last night about "her new SISTER", so she is now convinced it's a girl. :)

Yeah, started having pretty vivid dreams, not necessarily about the baby, just about the time I got pregnant. Most of them were pretty out there. Then they kind of mellowed out for a while and now I know I dream but can't really remember what I dreamt when I wake up. :eyesroll

I have had a couple of dreams about the baby but I can't remember what they were :LOL

I started seeing a naturopath a few weeks before I found out I am pg, and one of the questions she asked was about my dreams. I usually dream a lot, and remember them all, but for a few months, I don't remember having any dreams. Then, as soon as I got pg, the dreams came back. I've only had one so far about the baby, but it was very comforting and made me feel that all is well.

I had a *bizarre* dream last night that I was at my grandpa's 80th birthday party (though he's been dead for many years now) and he and my grandma had adopted a toddler who had come from parents who were drug addicts. I was worried that my grandpa would die and that the child wouldn't have a caregiver, so I asked my older brother if he knew who would be in charge of the baby boy if Grandpa died. He said that the baby didn't want anyone else to take care of him if that happened, and I was like, "But he's a baby! He can't take care of himself!" I was consumed with this need to be appointed the custodian of the child. Also weird was the fact that the baby's name is my little brother's name: Brett (but it wasn't my little brother).

OK if that wasn't weird enough, the dream ended with me going into my grandparents' basement and seeing Britney Spears making a video down there! The co-star of her video was one of those giant Chinese dragons (http://www.lwn-photo.com/images/Chinatown/03/LG/bearded_dragon.jpg) that they have in parades. I swear, I am not making this up. :flipped

I sure as heck hope mine aren't predictive! :bag:

I've had dreams of having an affair with my friend's husband! :blush

I had a nightmare yesterday afternoon of my youngest son drowning! :bigeyes

Then last night I had dreams that my husband was cheating on me!! :irked:

They all suck pretty much, but they are insanely vivid!!! I'm afraid of sleep now! :bigeyes

I had a weird dream the other night that my father gave me a baby gift of a handgun which had a built in camcorder. I was sort of mixed about the gun part, but I was more upset about the type of video camera because I had really wanted a small digital camcorder so that we could take digital footage of the baby and download it to my IL's who all live in India . . . . The camcorder was sort of an older type and used these weird little tapes, and I was upset about that especially because I knew that they would be hard to find and would clutter things up.

Verrry strange!!!

We haven't posted here in a while, but I've had some recurring themes during the past week that I wanted to get down and see if anyone had any good dream interpretation skills they wanted to try on me! :LOL

The first "theme" is that my teeth are falling out. In the first dream, one of my molars fell out, and it had a metal band around it (kind of like when you have braces). My tooth was broken in half when it came out. The second dream, two of my teeth fell out in the same day - they were really loose at first, and I kept accidentally bumping or wiggling them with my tongue but I was really trying to not let them fall out. Finally they both did and I put them in my pocket in the hopes that a dentist could reattach them. The funny thing about these teeth was that they both looked kind of like flower buds rather than the normal biting-surface pattern of teeth. They were still enamel and everything, but just a lovely decorative shape. :)

The second "theme" is that I am driving on the freeway in an unknown place, and I am afraid I'm going to get lost or get to my destination late. My surroundings are unfamiliar so I feel like I am lost, and am really afraid I'm going to miss my exit. In the first of these dreams, I drove 20-30 miles east, when I should have been going west to get home.

The second theme is easier to interpret - I'm in new territory, and not sure where I'm going or how to get there. Pretty good metaphor for a first-time mom! I don't know about the teeth thing though.

Have any of you had interesting dreams lately, or baby dreams? I've had several baby dreams, with both baby boys and baby girls, and they have all been sooooo sweet and full of love! I look forward to those. :love

Amy here's an interesting link on teeth dreams

Jeremy Taylor on loosing teeth (http://www.jeremytaylor.com/pages/Teeth.html)

I've been dreaming almost non-stop since I got pregnant. Long, weird, disjointed dreams with changes of scene and cast. I actually did dream work for a while, but very few of my dreams have made great sense to me from that perspective.

The most notable dreams for me have been the ones where I am pregnant, because for lots of reasons I have a hard time believing I actually am. Lately I've had a dream that I was spotting, and couldn't figure out whether to call the Dr I've just left or the midwives I haven't hired yet. I dreamed about trying to find a midwife, and having trouble. I know I've had one or two dreams about the baby, but not recently, and I don't really remember anything eslse about them.

You bet. Weird weird dreams, very vivid, not necessarily baby-specific. Though I did have one recently where we went for the 20 week sono and said we didn't want to know the sex and the turkey turned around to show us that it was clearly...a BOY! And we all think it is a girl. Go figure.

I have crazy dreams normally but they have gotten more frequent since we conceived. I dream a fair bit about nursing, and those are so vivid that I almost ache for the baby when I wake up.

Last night I had a lot of trouble sleeping because I was trying not to lie on my back or my stomach for fear of crushing the baby. I know that at 14 weeks and 5 days this is irrational, but it made sleeping very hard.

Sigh... We need to get all the sleep we can. NOW.

I have birth dreams alot when I'm pregnant. I've already had like 3 so far- all different- but both babies are always girls and I always catch them myself. :)

I have erotic dreams alot during pregnancy too and I don't have those when I'm not pregnant. Weird. :blush

I've been having a LOT of kissing dreams lately, kissing my DH and last night, kissing Tom Cruise! :bag: What is up with that? Last month it was Brad Pitt. My Tom Cruise dream last night was so elaborate, it even involved me and Katie Holmes going to the Bahamas together. Very fricking weird.

I also had a baby dream last night which I remembered briefly when I woke up, but it's gone now. Oh and I had a lucid dream last night too - those are so much fun!

I had a lot of those a few weeks ago and then they stopped. :( :LOL
Last night I had a dream that I was calling ds Koobie-koobie, and when he woke up that was the first thing out of my mouth and I have been calling him that all day.
I have been asking the baby what s/he would like to be named. I kind of hope that it will come in a dream... and I hope that it's not koobie-koobie

this pregnancy I had one where i went into my womb, or more my spirit did so I could see the baby, and his (it was a boy in the dream i just knew that) face was more developed then it should have been at this early stage. He said "mom it's time to stop being sick" and the next morning i woke up and wasn't sick, and i haven't been as sick as i was the day before that dream.

I have had dreams up to this point (not vivid ones that I remember) that make me think this one is a boy. However last night I had a dream that we thought we were having a boy and the ultrasound told us it was a boy. I went into labor and was very surprised to find out that I had a girl. It was a very strange (and very vivid) dream. I have my ultrasound next thursday, so it will be interesting to see what they say.

Willemsmama, I have been thinking about this since yesterday and every time I think about it, I giggle. I'm giggling right now, in fact. Hee! Koobie-Kobbie. Hee-hee!!
