Does anyone have any experience with this? I had my ultrasound today and they found a fold in my amniotic sac, at the very top. The baby seems fine (measuring 6 days smaller than my EDD according to LMP, but ok otherwise), but they want to do another ultrasound in one month.
My midwife (a 2nd midwife in the practice, who I'd never seen before today), said there was nothing to worry about and they just wanted to see if it was still there next month, but I'm concerned. If there's nothing wrong with a fold (assuming it's not constricting the baby's movement, which it isn't), then why do we have to keep an eye on it?
And also, I thought that ultrasound dating at this stage of the pregnancy was dubious at best. Is 6 days difference worth worrying about? Is it even significant?
I'm trying to decide how worried to be. Help?
TIA!
