No fair! Don't I get a few days of getting used to the idea of being pregnant first?
I brought in a bunch of food things to work that helped my in the first several weeks with dd, and I already ate it all. Argh.
The worst part of this is that I know that looking down a microscope is the worst thing I can do for the queezies, and that's what I had on my agenda for the week. Oh well, I have desk work to do as well!

ARg, I know what you mean! I'm just hoping that the early quezzies isn't a sign of worse quezzies to come!

I went for a run after lunch and now I feel great.

I gotta remember the ginger tea for tomorrow, though! I've already got all the text on my computer set to 200%.

I'm really hoping I don't get sick...we'll know for sure in a couple weeks...

Hmm, ginger tea, sounds good, I'll have to remember that one. wow, running, you go girl! i've been fast walking/pushing the stroller uphill for a few miles everyday. I feel tired after, but I know it gives me more energy over the whole day and helps make me feel better.

i'm so much hungrier than i remember being with DS. i think it's because we're still nursing so he's sucking out some of the calories LOL
i haven't quite felt nauseous yet, but it's on the edge...
and nothing sounds good. what kinds of foods are you eating? i need ideas. :)

That's a good descriptiong. I feel queasy, not nauseous ... just kinda on the edge.
From my last pg, I found that almonds are great for ms. I had a bag on my desk this morning, and I ate all of them (maybe 30) this morning at work. After I ran out I realized I had that on-the-edge-of-nauseous feeling.
DD is also nursing as well. I've already noticed a drop in milk supply, so I'm wondering if pregnancy will coax dd to wean. We night weaned about a month ago, and I saw a significant drop at that point. Cafe leftie is getting pretty sore as well. Chez Rightie is still more or less ok.

HAHAHAHA!! Cafe Leftie and Chez Rightie!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
how have you noticed the drop in supply? what are the markers of that?

Drop in supply: DD didn't poop yesterday until I gave her some tea, and I don't hear her swollow much when nursing anymore. This morning I asked her if there was any milk in there and she let go, said no, and went back to nursing.

Funny that is exactly what I was telling my husband yesterday and today. It seems like my stomach is just down right naucious to the point where I have to lie down from around 11am to 5pm. I work a full time job so I hope it stops by the time I have to go back next week!
With dd I wasn't naucious at all. Now I know how everyone usually feels.

That's me exactly. Today I've had whey protien drink with yogurt and strawberries/banana. Nothing else sounded good until dinner... I ate THREE tofu black bean enchiladas out of nowhere. This protien drink mix is so good! It's the only thing I can stomach till evening. But again... I fear there's worse to come.
I'm just exhausted. I'm pretty sure that's pregnancy and not the medical stuff.

DH really wants a boy, and I can go either way. Oddly, neither of us can really remember how I felt this early on. Of course, from what I gather about timing of sex versus ovulation, chances are this one's a girl! I guess that's good -- last time I had it pretty easy with regards to ms.
The again, I'm pretty sure I wasn't getting up at 5:30 am!

That sounds good! Can you share the recipe?
With my previous pregnancies I was always so hungry and ate so much, but this time I'm barely eating anything. I don't feel nauseous - I'm just not hungry. I'll make a meal for everyone, sit down and try to make myself eat, but I just feel so full. It's weird.

I second the request for posting the tofu black bean enchilada recipe, Spark. Sounds really yummy.
Last night on the way home from agility class with our dog, my husband asked if I wanted to stop for dinner. I said we could but I wasn't really hungry. Five minutes later I was ravenous, so we stopped for burritos. For the first time ever, I finished mine before he did.

mmmmmm burritos.
I miss burritos. There was this fabulous burrito place near my lab in grad school. I went back when I was 4 months pregnant for my defense, and :yum I had three meals there in a day and a half.
You can't get a good burrito in the midwest.

Argh. I was hoping to avoid this on this time, but I just had a conversation in the hall and I got so dizzy I almost fell. It's hard to show respect and deference to The Great Professor leaning against the wall.
So... I'm drinking tons of water, eating constantly.... What else can I do?

Geofizz - what is your field? What do you have your degree in? and how great is it that you defended while pregnant! i wish i had done it back then. i'm in my 5th yr of a phd and NOWHERE near defending. ACK!

My field is geophysics! I squeeze rocks for a living.
I didn't have an official defense, but it was called an "exit seminar," something you do in the year after you graduate. It was the worst talk of my life.
What field are you in?
