For your information:
The ad will be in the Rutland Herald on Thursday Oct. 10th. We will use money and names that come in by next Tuesday for a follow up ad to appear in some paper next Thursday Oct 17th. We could not have done it without all your help. Thank you and keep up the good work.
Yes! Yes! Yes! There has been a wonderful response to the Sunday vigil and it will happen. We will all meet at the corner of Rt. 30 and 7A (On the sidewalk in front of the church) at 12:00 and vigil until 1:00. So far 20 people have told us they will be there.
The next few lines are meant for those of you who have never been to a vigil or forgot what the suggested guidelines are.
Our aim is for an atmosphere of respectful silence.
Don't react to positive or negative energy (Let it bounce off you)
A meditative or centered state is suggested.
A vigil is a witness to our choice of peace and reconciliation rather than aggression, retaliation or war.
It is important that we be on the sidewalk but not block anyone
Please offer your suggestions
We hope these thoughts will be helpful.
We look forward to seeing you all on Sunday.
For your information the Peace Resource Center of Bennington is sponsoring a vigil every night from 5:00 to 6:00 at the corner of Rt. 9 and 7. This will continue for the foreseeable future
Peace
