View Full Version : I have an ultrasound tomorrow at 6w3d UPDATED!

...to check for heartbeat and viability. My last pregnancy with dd was difficult and she ended up being born at 30 weeks, so my midwives are being understanding with me needing to know if this pregnancy is going to stick or not. If I'm going to get emotionally attached and invested, I need to know it's going to stick, you know?

Anyway, it's at 10 AM EST on Thursday 3/31, if you believe in these sorts of things, could you say a teeeeeeny tiny prayer that we see the heartbeat? Or, if it's too early, that we at least see everything we should, and we can go back soon to check again for the heartbeat? My DH will be coming with me, and I know he really needs to see it too, for this to be real.

I know we will probably get both types (abdominal and transvaginal) so I hope they can find what we want to see. But I won't lie, I am very, very nervous. :o

Yep- I'll keep my fingers crossed for you- though you may need to help me figure out what the conversion of EST to GMT is :bag:

I think that may be too early to see the hb,i think generally after 7.5 weeks (don't quote me). I know my midwife said if i get an US to wait until about 9 weeks. So Ihope you see what you need tosee, and if you do, don't be upset if you can't see the heartbeat yet!

Dh and I are having the same thing on Monday, and I am really nervous too!

Good luck! We saw a heartbeat last week at 6 weeks exactly. Be sure to have a transvaginal though.. it would be to early to see anything with a abdominal. :)

:1praying Lifting prayers for you guys :thumb I had an u/s at 7w1d and saw a nice healthy heartbeat and L'il Bean. I think you should definitely be able to see your babe and that lovely :heartbeat

With DS, we saw the heartbeat at 6 weeks exactly. I'm sure you'll see it!

(I go in a week from today for my sonogram, and I'll be 6w3d.)
