Hi, all! :wave How's your day going?
Just a refresher, I'm Claire, due the beginning of Dec. I have two other kiddos Jude 3 and Cicely 1. I teach part time at the college level & own a WHAM business.
Ok, so Cicely is nursing happily away and I can't help but feel a little trepidation. I'm wondering if my milk will stay in. There's really nothing to do about it as the pregnancy hormones take over. I just feel like she's still so little. She's still such a baby herself. (She turned 1 in March) I know she's not *that* young, but young to me. I think being a middle child could be difficult. Just ask Jan Brady!
Wail: I'm pukey.
Wahoo: My children are always worth every minute of nausea.
Wail: I got 4 hours of sleep last night & I'm in my GIVE ME SLEEP mode of pregnancy.
Wahoo: Jason's home today so I'll go to bed when I want to.
Wail: I really want to buy a newborn diaper to pet. (I'm a cloth diaper addict)
Wahoo: A really cool WAHM said YES when I approached her about making me a "Born At Home" diaper sometime between now and December. :D

Hi Claire!
How's my day going? I've been at work for 45 minutes and I haven't done a thing! Friday before I left work I spotted a chair I could pilfer for my office, now I just have to find a good time to do it. (That's the way things work around here :eyesroll )
How is Cicely doing with solid foods?
Ok, I need to work now.

Sure, Sure, you need to work, Wendy... why pray tell is your green light still on then??? :demon
Mmm, pilfered chairs are GOOD!
Ok, so now I'm dressed. I'm officially not fitting in any of my next size up clothes now either. I'm in maternity. I asked my DH if I could get away with not telling my class today... no chance he said. Unless they were blind. And, add deaf to the mix, too. I've puked 5 times in the last 3 hours. So not fair! But... I must refer back to my Wail/Wahoo.
Wail: Puked 5 times in 3 hours so far.
Wahoo: It's worth it.

What green light :shrug
(I'm on the phone right now, trying not to yell at the idiot on the other end of the line.)
Sorry about the rough stomach.
Wail: I submitted an order for a laser in January. I found out last week that the PO for the laser hadn't been sent from the university to the vendor. As of today, I can't get anyone to tell me what's going on.
Wahoo: There's no wahoo to go with that wail. It's just a wail.

Today is my third day testing with an hpt...and the third day I've gotten a + hpt.... I think might need to stop testing soon.
I put in a call to the OB (missouri is a very MW unfriendly area.... but we are working to change that) and hopefully will get some blood work done today. I really hope they call me back soon because I don't want to drag Julia and my nephew out this afternoon when they should be napping.
I've been using some over the counter progesterone cream but I still want to get my progesterone levels checked (and to confirm that I actually am pg).
The weather is so great here.... we just came in for a snack and then we are going back outside to play!

Ooh, Jen, a pos no matter how light is surely a positive. Have you considered just dropping the big bucks on the digital? It really is nice to see PREGNANT. I think this has been the one pregnancy that I didn't test my life away!
Do you like your OB? I think that's what matters most.
Wendy... LOL at you wail! :LOL Oh, the green light... look at the posts, do you see the little circle at the bottom left hand corner of everyone's posts? When they're gray/black the person is off line. When they're green the person is online. You probably can't see your own though. Mine looks red to me.

LOL. I know what the green light is. I just never close the browser, so mine is always on during the day.
Wail: I need to learn that I can no longer drink a 12 oz cup of water before dashing over to a seminar, pick up a 16 oz OJ on my way there and expect to make it through the whole seminar comfortably.
Mini-wahoo: The seminar was boring. I got lots of kegels done trying to stay awake.
Ok, here's my Wahoo, and it's a biggie.
WAHOO: I got an email a few weeks ago saying that some software I'd written in college had been nominated for a NASA technology award. I just stopped by my box after lunch/seminar: WAHOOO. I got a check. For a HUGE amount of money. I evidently got the award. Getting a check in the mail is a nice way to notify a lady of an award. LOL. Now I gotta figure out what the award was all about. LOL. How are we going to spend it? HOMEBIRTH!

Wow Wendy! That is exciting about the money. What perfect timing! :)
Claire- When I go to get my blood drawn I am going to splurge on a digital test. It will just be really nice to (hopefully) see the pregnant come up.
I really like this OB but I've only seen him for my yearly. My last OB didn't hide the fact that he preferred medicated births (and why I didn't switch when I was pg, I don't know.... I really didn't think it would be that hard to have the birth I wanted). This guy is really open to whatever kind of birth I want to have. There are no birthing centers so it will have to be a hospital birth, but he will let the dad catch the baby and he has several doulas that he works with on a regular basis. And the best part is that he will let you eat 2 chocolate bars for the GD test instead of making you drink that awful orange drink.... I think that is what sold me on him :LOL

I've been feeling pretty lousy about my abilities in the last few weeks, so the timing really was perfect. It was a very needed boost.

Good to know. My midwife for the last time told me I could eat a certain number of jellybeans, but in the end I decided the orange stuff would be easier to choke down. I can always do chocolate, though :thumb
Wail: The exhaustion just hit.
Wahoo: This time I'm not sharing an office. I can just close the door and take a nap on the floor.
Note to self: bring a pillow to work.

I swear they took a pint of blood today. They must be testing for EVERYTHING!!
I stopped by the store and bought a digital test. Now why is that I don't believe the two lines, but I will believe the test that says "pregnant"
The pregnant word came up in about 30 seconds too, which I thought was a good sign because it said it could take up to 3 minutes.
Do you want to see? It is just beautiful!

LOL I honestly still don't really know. I kept getting cryptic emails about this thing, sometimes asking for information. I sent an email to my old advisor asking for details. The software I wrote takes suface deformation data collected after an earthquake and solves for the geometry of the fault responsible for the earthquake. Ahhhh, the mysterious ways of NASA.
It seems to take a lot of people to connect Geofizz to Geophys --- ics. I use geofizz because I tend to get confused on spelling geophysics. Yes, my spelling is so bad I struggle with the title of my discipline.
:thumb Nice test Juliasmum. I agree with you .... must be a boy! :LOL

At first, I thought Geofizz = pop rocks (fizzy rocks). :LOL
Congratulations on the award, even if you still don't know exactly what it is. That's really cool, and a bonus check is always good!
