If we have a girl we like the name Lauren. But I am wondering if it rhymes too much with our last name which is Walden. what do you think?

Yes, I think it rhymes too much. But I am very picky about the flow of names. How about Laura instead. That's my sisters name and it seems like everyone I know with that name is happy with it.
We love the name Arthur but it doesn't sound good with our last name so we won't use it.
I like Laura, but DH has a couple of people that he used to know and can't separate himself from the association. :eyesroll

i really like the name lauren. and i don't think it rhymes too much with walden. If your last name started with an N, then the advice for a first name would say don't end with an n. also, how about Laurel, Lorel, Lorelai, lorelynn.

I think it's a tongue twister & frankly, there are enough Laurens out there already. My son has 5 in his kindergarden class. If you include all spellings of Mckayla, Kayla, Alexis, Emily & Lauren there's only like 5 girls with a different name. It's a really nice name, but too many people beat you to the punch.

I think it flows just fine :thumb

I'm sorry, but I do think it sounds too sing-songy. I love the suggestion of Laura- a beautiful name that sounds good on a child, and is mature enough for an adult, and isn't as popular. And it goes well with your last name! There are so many names I love but can't use b/c it doesn't go with our last name, or is too close to ds's name.
(sorry if this is jumbled- ds is on my lap and he just erased the whole thing and I am speed typing!)

Lora Walden looks great on paper and I haven't met any of those.
