I am still pregnant!

This has been a really rough last 3 weeks. I went to an ER on easter because of bleeding/spotting, and thinking this was ectopic.

Then they did an ultrasound that put me earlier than I thought, 4, weeks, so the sac looked empty. So they thought blighted ovum.

Today they did a follow up and there was an embryo with a heartbeat. WOW I was shocked!

So now I measure 5 and a half weeks.

I am still spotting .They saw a hemorrage next to the sac, which explains the bleeding. Hopefully it will heal. I am on "bedrest" right now.

I'm not sure. My last period was Feb 15th so that date puts me ovulating very late if I'm 5 and a half weeks. But they measured the embryo and said '5 weeks and 4 days', and I don't know if they meant since conception or since last menstrual period.

I'm sure they mean age since LMP--nobody ever uses gestational age in obstetrics really. That's about the earliest that you're going to get a heartbeat on a sono though . . . .
