Ok, I figure if I'm up at 4 am, that's plenty of reason to start the next wail and wahoo.

Wail: I'm up at 4 am.
Wahoo: DD isn't up at 4 am. I nightweaned her a month ago (:scrath how did I turn up pg? LOL), and this week she's slept through the night with no problems every night for a week. Go DD!

Wail: Our awsome neighbors that DD adores put their house up for sale yesterday
Wahoo: We had them over for dinner while they had an evening showing and DD had a BLAST playing with the three boys.

Wahoo- we are going to the park today for a picnic! I am so glad the weather is nice again!!

Wendy- I am soooo sorry you were up at 4!! That just stinks. And that is so sad about your neighbors... when you have good neighbors you don't want them to leave! Hopefully the new ones will be wonderful as well!

Wail: I'm puking all morning again.
Wahoo: It's really quite nice. Because then I feel like my old normal self (just tired) during the middle of the day. I really LIKE this! :)

Aw, Wendy don't you hate it when cool people move!?!?

Jen, Mmmm, the park! that's great! I'm taking the kids to Barnes & Noble this afternoon to meet a friend. I havent' told her that i'm pregnant yet. I hate when I chicken out. It's just... um, I'm 5 weeks pregnant. Wouldn't normally occur to me. But, now I'm going to show up with a belly. That just makes things awkward. They think I've been hiding something from them.

Anyone else feel embarassed to tell people that they're pregnant? I do. I don't know what that's about. Maybe because it's always so soon and I'm outed if they see me in person. I'm always saying, :innocent "Uh, yes, I am. :blush I'm not that far along though."

Wail: I was outed to my class. One woman said when I walked into the room, "OMG! You're pregnant!"
Wahoo: Maybe they'll forgive me more for being behind on grading!

I have a phone date with a woman I work with in a few hours, and I'll tell her. She one of my best friends, and I need some "wise career move"-type advice. I told her with DD before I'd even tested.

It went well.

I got a lot of advice on a lot of the crapola that's been going on around here, a good portion of that is likely gender related.

It just feels so good to have a super-good friend in the same field who is just so totally and completely thrilled to hear I'm pregnant. She seemed to think my plan for what to do in the event this kid comes before 39w6d (last day of fall quarter) was pretty good. I've got to think about it a little longer and then talk it over with people in June.

ACCCCKKKK~ Preggy brain. I edited this when I ment to quote it. Eeek! I have no idea what the original content was. Oh, the original text was this:

I need advice from her on other things, so I'm going to save it to the end of the conversation to keep from derailing her on the points I need to cover.

Wail: I have a ton of work to get done and I can't concentrate on it.
Wahoo: It's a Beautiful Day and I hope to get out to have some alone time at lunch.

Ahhh, the magic of the "back" button.

Wail: I've had a cold since Friday, and it's still here.
Wahoo: One of our good friends from DH's doctoral program is in the area for a conference, and she'll be staying with us tonight! We told her on Sunday when we got together the first day of the conference... she's the first person we've told, and we only did so this early because she lives half way across the country and it was fun to have the chance to tell her in person.

Claire - I know what you mean about being embarrassed. I don't know why that is. Sorry you're puking again, but I admire your good attitude!

Wendy - Too bad about cool neighbors moving. We have the opposite - our neighbors with the monster truck and noisy pit bull just moved. Just waiting to see who moves in next.

Wail: I am super tired and I have had constant low-grade nausea for the past 2 days.
Wahoo: I am not cranky about it! I can eat despite the nausea (let's see how long that lasts) and I feel like doing stuff despite how tired I am. My boobs are also starting to get bigger and I have this "full" feeling in my uterus that I totally :love ! It's like always being comfortably full but lower. Is this in my mind or does anyone else have it?

Warning for the nauseaus... food is about to be mentioned!

OMG I forgot how good food tastes when I am pg!! Everything is like 100 times better. M/S will hit in a week or two and then if it is like last time, I'll only crave one food for a week or two at a time(last time it was spaghettios and Kraft spaghettie dinner....ew!)

I had a pita for lunch with roasted red pepper hummus and diced tomatoes and cucumbers and it was YUMMY!

I feel weird telling people that I am pg. Actually the only people that know are DH and the women in my moms group. I'll probably tell my mom when I get my bloodwork results back and I'll have to tell my SIL soon because I see her every day, and I babysit my nephew. If I look particularly bad one morning I don't want her thinking it is because I don't want my nephew to come. I know my brother and SIL have been trying for awhile so that is going to be hard. I thought about just calling my brother and telling him so he could break the news, but don't really feel right about that because I see my SIL everyday.

Heather- hope you get over the cold soon!

:love Ooh, you make me swoon. Yes, I have that full feeling in my uterus, too. Its so amazing. Pregnancy really is amazing! We are so blessed.

Wendy, sounds like a good conversation with your friend. ALWAYS nice to have a mentor in the field, esp with a male dominated one like you're in. Mothers esp sometimes get a bad rap. :(

Juliasmum -- I SO appreciate the food warning. I'll skip reading it for now. But, come back later.

It's been a pukier day today. But, really this is very do-able. I puke and feel icky, but then it goes away for a while. That reprieve is golden. It makes me appreciate things so much!

Oh, no! Not more pukies! :hug

Hey, you just hit 4000 posts.

I also got a lot off my chest with her about gender issues in this department. I've got a problem with my chair, one of the primary reasons I'm keeping this bean a secret for as long as I can. My friend had a long list of very specific suggestions about what to do, making me think she's dealt with this before.

Wail: No wail
Wahoo: It's a beautiful day. I just had an awsome run, now I'm pumped up to get t he rest of the day's to-do list done.

Hey everyone. I'm Melissa, a SAHM to Talia(5) and Caedon (3). My husband is just finishing his degree and will be looking for work in a couple of weeks. I am due early december. We are really excited but a little overwhelmed because we're moving June 1 and I'm also in school parttime until the end of June. I am going to work with children with special needs, and also students with behaviour challenges in the school setting. I still have 4 courses left, but it looks as though I will put the rest of my courses off until a couple of years down the road. Having a family is so great, and I'm looking forward to adding another to it! Gotta go, my kids are reallly queit! They must be into something!

Wail: I just had to work a clean-up shift at the food co-op we belong to. 2 hours of doing dishes and mopping and cleaning almond butter of spoons etc, etc. And since this afternoon I feel more tired than I have EVER felt! I am the walking dead.

Wahoo: Just found out this is the last clean-up shift dh and I have to do! The manager asked us to be the clean-up labour coordinators. So instead of dishes and mopping we get to take phone calls at home and plug people into a schedule. This came about 10 minutes after I started wondering how I would work that shift for the next 8 months!

And another Wahoo: My belly is growing already! This evening I put on some pants that are usually really loose and my belly popped out over them! Not a big pop, but definitely there! I am soooo jazzed about this.
