omg. DS always chooses the days that I feel the most crappy or I am the most exhausted to boycott his nap. it's 3:30 and he hasn't napped yet, which means that he's going to TRY to nap at around 4:30 or so which means that he'll be up until 11 or 12 tonight and i am SO not feelin' THAT!

so i've decided. AP or not, this kid is not getting a nap today. he'll stay awake until *I* decide he can go to sleep and then he'll be down for the night. i am so NOT playin' today.

"Rowan, honey, look what Mama found at the store for you... It's a new kind of Kool Aid. It's called Celestial Seasons 'Sleepy Time Tea.' Mmmm, it's so yummy. How about a nice BIG cup for you."

(Can't take credit for that thought, it's from Lily Tomlin's one woman play.)

:hug I feel for you though. :hug

Hope you get a good LONG nap.

Ahh, poor mommy! Did you guys ever get the nap?

My in-laws are in town, sneaking my daughter chocolate. I had to stack the decks to get DD to nap today, taking her for a "walk" in the jogging stroller.

I'm sticking to my story that my 10 minute/mile "walk" was indeed a "walk" because according to my in-laws, it's "obvious" that you shouldn't run in pregnancy.

:LOL sleeptime tea!

nope, never napped...but he went to bed EARLY (early for him anyway - 8:00) and that was NICE! didn't wake up earlier in the morning either which suggests to me that he should be going to bed that early EVERY night!

his normal bedtime is around 9:30 or so...sometimes later. 8pm is rare. we're gonna try to make it less rare. LOL especially in my exhausted state!
