I cramp like mad. It feels like mid/early labour contractions, except there's no 'waves', it's just constant. I cramped all the way through the 1st trimester with my first baby. This is my sixth pregnancy, and this is only the second time I've cramped like this so I see it as a positive thing!! It means my uterus is stretching and growing to accomodate a baby that is alive and developing.
My mother thinks it's very strange. I've never met anyone else who cramped through their first trimesters like I do, but it's normal for me! Sometimes it's very intense and I want to curl up in a ball and whine.
Anyone else?

I've had contraction like cramping this time around. Not sure what it meant.
I've always had period type cramping while pregnant, but this is a new one for me.

Mine is period like cramping, not contractions. justthat dull achy feeling but it does come and go. Even though I had it all through 1st trimester with dd, it still makes me nervous! :) i'm so paranoid!!

Yes, I definitely went through that, and it lasted about a week and seemed worse in the evenings. It's gone now (I'm just around 8 weeks) but it really made me nervous for the first few days. I think it was just my uterus stretching though. I never had spotting or anything else to cause concern.

Babs, I just realized I "know" you from the network54 AP board (where I tend to lurk more than I post) Small world :)
I remember you posting Tempest's birth story.... really that seems like just yesterday. She is such a cute little girl!
