We are always outside so DS's face is so dry and cracked. I use Aquaphor but it's so shiny and greasy that bugs, hair, dirt, STUFF gets stuck to his cheeks all the time. His skin is pretty sensitive so I've been too scared to apply sunblock. We've been wearing hats and on really sunny days I apply Oil of Olay Daily UV (it's light, not terribly greasy and seems to absorb well) but that's only 15 SPF.

Can anyone recommend a good moisturizer or even a recipe so I can make my own that will help with his chapped cheeks? How about a good, non-irritating facial sunblock? A combination of the two would be fantastic but I know I'm asking too much! :eyesroll

Thanks!

What about using jojoba or avocado oil after baths or you wash his face? I buy pump bottles of them at my local HFS, and use them on both myself and my almost 1 yr old (OMG! she' can't be that old yet :happyt: ). They both absorb really quickly and are hypoallergenic. I'm not sure on the sunscreen, I haven't figured out that part for myself yet.
