I've been researching Montessori education a lot lately, and wondered what you all thought about the philosophy. It's seems to really fit with a natural way of parenting.

I have a very spirited 5 1/2 year old, and she just started her Montessori school last month and so far it's going great. They seem to really respect her for who she is, and really love parents to hang around like me....

Check out the Montessori sub-forum in the Learning at School forum. You'll find a lot of good info there.

Hi, welcome. :)

We adore Montessori. My oldest two are currently in Montessori, to be joined by my third son next year. My oldest is 8 and it's all he's ever known.

My 51/2 yr old spirited son also goes to montessori and he loves it. I am so sad that I have to put him in publicschool next yr since we can't afford montessori school anymore. i find the set-up just right for the kind of person he is.
