Breastfeeding Photo Contest
Hi! I've been helping Janice Reynolds, founder of Moms For Milk Breastfeeding Advocacy Network to develop a breastfeeding photo contest. Maybe some of you will be interested in entering or organizing your own contest.

FOR INFORMATION SHARING ONLY - DO NOT ENTER UNLESS YOU LIVE IN SASKATCHEWAN OR MANITOBA
Please note that the following Contest is for Saskatchewan and Manitoba (Canada) residents ONLY!.

But I am willing to share the files so that you could organize your own photo contest for your province/state/region. Just email me at momsformilk@sasktel.net for information!

Moms For Milk Breastfeeding Network is pleased to announce the launch of the first ever, "Everyday Breastfeeding" Photo Contest

I have prepared files for both an 8 1/2" x 11" Poster and an 8 1/2" x 14" Poster, the Contest Rules and Entry Form (2 pages), a copy of the Media Release, and a information sheet of "Photo Contest Objectives and Background Notes" for further information.

Have you breastfed at the store?
Doing chores? and sweeping floors?
Have you breastfed in your bed? While you read?

IMPORTANT FACTS:
DEADLINE: MARCH 1, 2003
Contest limited to Saskatchewan residents.
Pictures entered do not have to be current, pictures from past years are welcome also.
All entries need to be sent to Moms For Milk, see address below (Canada Post or email okay)

Please don't worry too much about having a "perfect" picture. Don't worry if your house is messy, or you don't look your "best" - that's the point of this contest - to show "real" women "really" breastfeeding. We do need "useable" pictures though, so focus and lighting is important, but you don't have to have perfect composition, etc we can crop the photos if needed. Also, we don't have to actually "see" the baby nursing (ie the latch), the circumstances surrounding the nursing pair may be more interesting. (Although some close-ups of baby on breast are okay, too!).

If you want, you can write a short description of the situation and persons and attach to photo. (optional)

Overall, we want to encourage PARTICIPATION! We will be giving out a number of smaller prizes, for a variety of types of photographs, rather than just one big grand prize winner.
