My girls loved the bendies I got them from naturalplaythings.com. They wanted to make themselves some but I wound up doing them. :eyesroll Here they are:

Those are sooooo CUTE! I love your colors!! I want to make some mermaids for a friend's daughter whose birthday is next month. Was it hard to design your own? What did you use for your wire? I have chenille stems but I want to try florist wire next.

My kids want to make their own too. My daughter who is 11 can sort of make them. My 6 year old can make most of one if we don't wrap the body and use flower parts. The sewing is kind of fiddlely, I find.

Awesome, thanks for sharing.:D

I just wrapped the chenille pipe cleaner as usual but left the "legs" bare (to save on floss and hands). Then I cut a tail, doubled over. Then blanket stitched the edges and stuffed with wool. The hair was the hard part, especially on the big one. It is eyelash yarn (aka fun fur).

Oh and I can't take complete credit on the tail. Danielle at www.naturalplaythings.com makes the mermaids. We have one of hers. Mine is skinnier.

Very cute! Where are directions on how to make them?
